What are you system specifications?

We would certainly advise ensuring that you have the latest Windows Updates.

Please also try running the game with Administration rights, as another user advised this helped them to get past this. You can find steps for this here.

As mentioned, please make sure you have the latest drivers installed, and make sure you have tried reinstalling the game is you still see the same error.

We would also advise, checking the minimum requirements for the game here.

If you are on a laptop please also ensure that it's using the correct GPU.

Did you get an error message when that occurred?

We'd certainly advise verifying the game files if you haven't already, which will check for missing or corrupt files and replace them. You can do this by clicking on the menu under the game icon in Uplay.

You'd want to use the latest stable driver for your GPU, which you can find on your GPU manufacturer's website.

We generally advise against any Beta or Preview drivers, as these have not always been fully tested.

So with the charges, these will most likely be Authorization holds, which can occur when the purchases fail to complete on our end. The money is not actually taken from your account, and should release back and be available again.

The first thing we'd advise, although simple, is making sure you've got the latest updates for Windows. You can check for this in Windows Update.

We would also advise running the System File checker, to make sure that there are no damaged files. You can do this by opening the CMD Prompt and entering sfc /scannow

Additionally, I assume you have all tried following the steps to manually change your Datacenter found here? Obviously I can see the OP mention they have done so.

We are aware of some issues with weapons not appearing when being picked up.

If you see this again and are able to get some footage of this occurring, we would be interested in seeing that.

Additionally is your friend in the same region as you are, or might you have been playing on a different Datacenter than your local one?
