Hi there MethBeforeBeer thanks for getting in touch with us and thanks for reporting this.

What keyboard are you using and are using a foreign language keyboard?

Can I ask if your keyboard settings are set to English UK or English US as the default language in Windows?

To check please try the following -

- Click on the desktop start menu and click on Settings cog
- Select Time & language
- Select Language
- Check under preferred languages that English is set to default for apps
- Click on this and press options
- Scroll down to see if keyboard is set to QWERTY English

Let me know when you have tried this and what you found.

Please also try verifying your game files as best practice, to see if this solves this issue.

This error code has not been reported to the Siege team as far as I know, but could you please try the following and letting me know if this works -

First of all, are you running any anti-virus software? Can you make sure the game and the launcher are whitelisted in the anti-virus settings.

Next try disabling any software that you do not need that is running in the background, then restart your PC and launch the game -

Hello Mr Happy, sorry you are having an unhappy time playing our game, we are trying to correct this for all players to better the experience of playing Siege.

In regards to smurfing accounts, please see our game teams post on this -

Smurfs create imbalances in matchmaking when they use new accounts to hide their actual skill level. Our matchmaking system does not use Clearance Level, K/D, or win rate to carry out matchmaking. It uses MMR. MMR is determined by your match’s outcome, while taking into account the enemy team’s MMR. By disguising their true skill level, smurfs impact the competitive balance of the match with very few ways for us to verify the incident.

Challenges: Smurfing is a struggle the entire industry faces and in our community, it damages the playing experience.

When your game crashes, do you get any warning messages and has this only started happening recently?

Please first verify your game files depending on what game launcher you use.

Make sure to be using the latest drivers for your GPU and Windows OS is updated.

Hi RMTpedrozzz08,

Apologies you have been unable to launch the game in Epic. Are you able to verify the game files for me please?
Do you have any software running in the background such as game overlays or overclocking software that may be affecting the game launching that you can close through Task Manager?

Can I also make sure you have updated your graphics card driver recently?

Hey thanks for getting back to me with that, can you go to settings > HUD settings > scroll to the bottom and make sure In Game chat is turned on? I know you mentioned you can only use All chat not Team chat. How are your key binds set up?

Not a problem. Thanks for getting back to us HotPotatoPot.

Sometimes it can take up to 24 hours for any games bought to appear in the Uplay game launcher.

Hi sorry you are experiencing this with Vulkan.

You may have already tried this, but if you are running the latest driver can you also try downloading and installing this Nvidia hotfix, as it has been known to fix issues in some of our games at the moment -

Hi GGR101,

Thanks for getting in touch. Are you able to upload a picture of the error message you are getting so I can investigate this?

Also, are you running any conflicting software in the background you can shut down through Task Manager, that might be interfering? Anything such as game overlays, VoIP programs?

Hi TheSuperStarZ, welcome to the forums and thanks for getting in touch.

There should be an option to change this in the Siege Settings menu, which region are you playing from can I ask?

Also just to be sure, you are having problems with the Siege in game chat and not Uplay chat in game?

Thanks for that An11mo, if your software that you have installed is not causing lag or performance issues and if you are running the latest drivers for Windows and your GPU, there are still a lot of options you can try.

You could try verifying the game files of Siege in Uplay in case any supporting software is missing.

Can I ask if you have also updated your motherboards BIOS after installing the new CPU?
