Hello everyone, thank you for posting about the crashing issues you have experienced.

I too experienced some crashes in the game after an update, but managed to fix this by lowering one of my graphic settings (I believe it was Clutter effects) in the games menu, I use an Asus Strix 3070. Later after another update, I was able to return this setting to its highest without crashes.

This is one of the steps I would recommend trying, as well as the following >

- Verify the game's installation files, through the game launcher, to fix any corrupt or missing files that may be causing the crashes
 
- Run the game as an administrator via the game's .exe file, right-click on the file, select Properties, select the Security tab, check to make sure the current PC user has Administrator privilege's for this file, as not running as Admin can sometimes cause several problems and can stop the game from being able to save > ...

It sounds like your download of the audio pack may have been interrupted or it could be a regional issue depending on the version of the game you own. To further help you, we would definitely need some images from your console.

If anybody else experiences Epic and Ubisoft trying to download any game twice, please try >

  • Installing the game directly on the Ubisoft Connect launcher instead, after linking your Epic account to your Ubisoft account
  • Check Epics download path defaults to this location and has not been changed C:\Program Files\Epic Games\[Game name]
  • In Ubisoft Connect, relocate the path to the original installation by using this tool in the launcher - https://www.ubisoft.com/help?article=000065557

As well as checking your msinfo for any errors, we also have crash reports located in the Ubisoft launcher and games file directory under >
Assassin's Creed Valhalla\logs\uplay_crash_reporter.txt and Ubisoft Game Launcher\logs\launcher_log.txt

If you need help troubleshooting this crash, as advised by Ubi-Woofer, please create a support case on our support website with your dxdiag and msinfo files.

Are you able to show us an image of your in-game audio settings, that you can post in this forum (image needs to be under 2MB size)?

Do you also have an image that shows any language packs downloaded and installed on your console?

What language are you trying to use for both audio and subtitles also?

Is the extra 56GB worth of files downloading, not the updates? At the moment my total file size for the game's installation is 122GB total, though I have the season pass content downloaded also.

if you kill the last 3 guards first and round back to kill the 2 above the entrance to the last building it lets you finish and doesnt spawn the guys out in the field.

There are a few reasons why your achievements/trophies may not unlock -
 
1. It may be that you have not unlocked all the conditions for the achievement/trophy
 
2. It may be that the unlock conditions have yet to synchronize with our server, so we would advise some basic connectivity troubleshooting and restarting your router whilst still connected to the game, to see if this helps the trophy pops

Hello sneakesteban, thank you for your helpful video clip.

This quest is currently under investigation by the AC team, so I will pass your clip along to the team. Do you have your save file uploaded to the cloud, so that I may access it?

At the moment, we are advising players to reload a previous save before the fight takes place, in order to win and complete the quest, though this issue may happen again should he fall into the sea during the fight.

Are you able to capture a video showing you are unable to react with the children? To my knowledge, there are no ongoing investigations or reports of this quest being bugged.
