Normal wolves are fine. Bears are fine.

Dire wolves are terrifying; Which isn't surprising.

Actual direwolves have been extinct for thousands of years. The direwolves in 7DTD are living wolves mutated by exposure to the zombie virus from fighting with and biting zombies (Same way vultures mutated into zombie vultures, only far less exposure to the zombie virus since the wolves aren't Eating the flesh, only attacking zombies or defending themselves.); They Dire Wolves are basically the Super Feral edition of genetically mutated normal wolves (Check the glowing eyes).

And I don't think they should be nerfed; They can be handled. But it is very dangerous.

First person view would probably come first.

1 Not locked at all

2 Same decals

3 Same speed, but yes it could use some improving

4 Just for testing. I have not started playing real games

Sight pictures are intentionally unrealistic in order to "work" in a game.

When experimental releases, the current stable will be an option in the Betas tab. Then you can lock into the current version by simply selecting it.

There are no plans for it, but it could happen someday.

is the steam backup options in properties a viable way of backing up files?
No. The backups for 7 Days are considerably larger than what Steam Cloud allows.

This also works great if hosting a game server and restoring corrupt saves is as easy as a few clicks of your mouse and it's free.

Just keep in mind that your saves plus relevant map data can be gigabytes in size. Doing hard saves with this type of data just isn't feasible on low-end systems.

Now imagine that but worse.

There's a reason 7DTD saves constantly instead of periodically.

Now, I agree, some kindof backup would be nice; Maybe a button in the menu to make a SINGLE manual save (because again, save size is not small, and most users wouldn't think about it and would save like any other ga...

I was under the assumption this game has autosaves or something like most modern and reasonable games do. To my surprise it doesn't and only saves when you manually do it essentially. To my even more tragic surprise this game has horrible player and world lose issues for some dumb dev decisions I assume. 20 hours instantly down the drain.

It being a thing in the community to always make backups is kind of a sad thing considering you will never know about this until you find out if happened to someone or yourself. R.I.P my fun. Not allowed to have nice things I guess.

Trees will probably not change any more in A20 other than whatever changes happened over the last year.

Nothing and everything!

Actually I just like to cut off the boring parts.

Justin is adjusting all non tree plants, which would include all biomes. Don't know what he is doing with winter ground textures.

New plant changes (not finished):

1 Last 3 days has been block placement stability colors not working with multiblocks. Today is falling blocks using world space UVs (from previous shader changes) causing the block to swim through the texture, but also cleaning up falling block code (not looked at that before).

2 Eventually

3 We just announced Sept 8

4 Probably not. Lathan likes to stream in the evening, but it could happen

5 ?? I want it out as much as the players, but not until it be good!

I was. Mesh generation and collider changes.

Justin just committed a bunch of grass and plant texture/shader/settings changes, so getting there.

Programmers are currently scheduled for the 5th stream. I'll hit a variety of topics but not everything.
