You are allowed to mimic the way BF2's helicopters fly for example, just like you're allowed to put W as your moving-forward key.

If you get used to it, it's nothing really. Getting there is the frustrating part for players who don't care much for the controls.
Okay but...It's NOT a HELIcopter.
It is a GYRO copter. And gyro copters are the real life predecessor to helicopters. and it co... Read more

It gets so much hate because it doesn't fly like a Helicopter. Despite it being a Gyro copter and not a Heli copter.

Loading the map is using so much ram. Unlike GTA which constantly loads and unloads play area, in 7DTD the entire map is loaded in with a lightly initialized state the start, and made active as you travel around and explore.

You might also have some of your video settings too high and have vRam stuff dumping over to normal ram. Textures especially will eat your vram, if you have it on full that alone is 8gb vram i think. This would definitely cause performance drops if its happening.

Yes, there will be future updates to the game. The publicly revealed plans for the next Alpha release are detailed here:

I really hope to see 'natural' procedural caves return to the game. It seems like RWG has gotten sophisticated enough (particularly if one considers road placement) that the algorithm could exclude the space under or around POIs when choosing where caves can go.

As Crater says, there's no specific level that leads into a 'plateau' effect. Essentially, every level gained 'slows you down' mathematically the same as the previous one. It's something like, using example numbers, exp required for the previous level x1.05; So at level 1 you need say 10,000 exp to reach level 2; But to go from 2-3 would require 10,500. And then 3-4 would take 11,025, 4-5 would take 11,576, and so on.

Not sure what the exact multiplier is off the top of my head, i think the base exp required originally is 10,000, but that's essentially how it works.

That said, You'll kinda notice you're working for levels around 125-150, just because the exp required is getting rather monumental.

And you'll max out all your perks at 276 i think, with a max level of 300.

I believe the XP to level up is on a smooth, growing curve, with no inflection point to form a cutoff where leveling slows down.

As of late, I’ve been restarting too often (before level 30) to give you an anecdotal answer.

Originally posted by Guitarist with Osteoarthritis: I have no idea. I would guess having a small amount of zombies per player could make it work. Most computer players probably wouldn't be able to run those sorts of games without a decrease in zombie numbers. Having a lot of people play can be fun, but you just need the rig to play it well.

The OP is almost certainly referring to the setting for max zombies alive (at once), not players. You’re right that how many zombies the game can comfortably run is limited by one’s hardware. However, in light of this the game is smart enough to impose additional limits beyond the max alive setting. Unless you mod the game, you’ll get 64 zombies at once, tops, even if you have multipl... Because they were too expensive, and negatively impacted SI when they appeared near POI's.

Once occlusion and a couple of other features are done and optimized, they may make a return. Not sure if the plan is to h... Read more

A javelin is a light spear that is primarily intended to be thrown, not used. And there are other spears that are called spears that are thrown AND used.

The spear s presented in game, considering it's length, reach, and design, is clearly a short spear that is intended to be able to be thrown, not just used. It's not called a Javelin because it's purpose is not exclusively to be thrown; Nor is it a long spear meant only for stabbing.

So some kind of standardized ‘hardcore’ or ‘ironman’ mode then, that locks you out of dm/cm/mods and such. I think servers already provide a natural solution for this: a way to insure a group of players is on a level playing field with the same rules (assuming one can defend against hacking). Plus, it’s not very convincing to propose a feature that you yourself aren’t interested in using. :cozybrawlhalla1:

Blocks are aligned with N/E/S/W. But Terrain is aligned with SE/NE/SW/NW; And no, there's nothing you can do about it. You can make a square hole; and you can build a square structure. And due to the nature of the voxel terrain blocks you CAN create a ditch with a smooth edge on the N/E/S/W direction so that you can place blocks in a row inside it.

You need to give them the permission level. Did you do that?

Hello Survivors!

With A19.6 we bring to you localized twitch commands!

The twitch commands now adapt to the language used when you start game.

Default English commands will continue to work, if they are available.

With this patch we hope to find and fix any localization issues for twitch integration for when A20 releases.

If you find grave mistakes, please do report them.
