Very much this. If you have available RAM, Anno gladly uses it to load objects, textures etc. faster since it can keep them in the RAM. If you don't, loading things might take longer, e.g. when switching from one region to another.

The mod browser does not seem to work for Geforce Now, yes. We're going to have a look if this is something we can address or if we're limited by the way the service works.

The version number is identical since the update (incl. bug fixes and the support for the "Nationalpark" Cosmetic DLC) is of course also available on Geforce Now (and Epic, Steam, ...).

Yeah that “Canned Good” thread was also me, asking for confirmation that I am not missing anything as I started building this 😃 I got sick a few days ago so I picked up the game for the first time ever (no previous experience with any Anno title). Being the data freak that I am, I spend 5 hours analyzing for every 1 hour of actual playtime.

It would be awesome if you can get it in front of more people, you have my full blessing. Please send me the link if/when the article goes out!

Hah, sorry, I didn't pay attention to the names in the other thread :D

Sure thing, will send you a DM when we publish an article featuring your work.

Super useful, especially since I've just recently seen the "is canned food even worth it?" discussion pop up again.

Do you mind us linking this (with full credit, ofc) in one of our future articles on the official website?

Hi bois and gurls,

Fast question: why wasn't National Park DLC announced in Ubi Connect? Is there any new place to look at when it comes to news from Anno?

The best place to check for news usually is the Anno Union website: https://anno-union.com/

Due to time constraints, holidays or simply us forgetting (happens, unfortunately) news might not always end up on Connect in time.

Hey, you will need to be online for the feature to work, and the game to connect to the online services.

So, usually it should be enough to start the game, wait for the online services to connect (symbol in the top right). Then close and restart the game and the mod browser should be visible in the main menu.

No it wont. Your saves are in the cloud too. Or you can always manually deag out your saves in the documet folder and back it up to be sure.

Even without cloud saves, it's just upgrading your ownership of DLC content, game settings and saves are not affected.

The team is very happy to read these kind of comments, glad to hear you're enjoying the feature and even let yourself get convinced to try mods in Anno now!

That's ofc also thanks to the great Anno modding community who supported our plans and added their creations to mod.io

On that note, we're of course also happy to feature some of those mods and their creators on our channels over the next weeks. Feel free to reach out to me on Reddit or Discord if you're interested.

The update delivery can sometimes also take a little bit of time after we pushed the big red button. Happy to hear you got the update now :)

Hey there, we're aware of the issue and currently investigating. I'm just gonna copy&paste my answer from another thread:
"We've managed to reproduce the issue and will have a look at what's causing the problem. We won't be able to address this with the upcoming update, but will hopefully have a fix for the next patch after that."

Are you guys planning to atleast release some of the smaller DLCs? The game can get quite bland at times and really isn't worth the $60 (CAD). I understand no major DLCs, but some form of new content would be great in console.

While we understand the interest in seeing even more content for the console version, esp. when comparing it to the PC version, we are not planning to release any of the "Season Pass DLC" on console, no, only the Cosmetic packs.

I put a ticket into support regarding this. I am having the same issue, with cosmetic dlc.

So far placing castle walls or funfair items causes desyncs, the game recovers but its an insufferable delay to place every piece.

I can place them in blueprint but as soon as I hit upgrade them bam desync.

When the game recovers they are placed and built.

This really needs a fix, love the game but I only play multiplayer and I love making really pretty cities.

We've managed to reproduce the issue and will have a look at what's causing the problem. We won't be able to address this with the upcoming update, but will hopefully have a fix for the next patch after that.

Late to the party cause of holidays, but a very interesting discussion for sure that we also had and have in the team.

Something we can keep in mind for potential future iterations of the feature, yeah. Not something for 1800, but should we use this kind of feature in a future project, then there are certainly some points we would want to improve upon.

The campaign does a good job at slowly letting you explore all features of the game, so, I'd personally recommend at least playing the first few missions. And don't worry too much about all the missions. Basically none of them are time-sensitive in any way. Focus on building your settlement(s) first and foremost, on learning the mechanics and how to make money. And then fulfill the quests one by one whenever you feel like it.

Never heard of mod.io is it good ?

There are zero plans to create a shop of any kind. This is "only" an integrated browser, similar to how the Steam Workshop functions.

mod.io is from the same guys that founded moddb, btw ;)
