Replying to the main thread so this has more eyes. Looped back with the team and it sounds like there's a fix in the works, but it's complex so unlikely to hit until midseason which doesn't help at the moment. There's a pseudo way around this, but it requires a purchase so not a proper workaround.
To do this, you'd purchase the Premium BP first (you've already unlocked this, so it will result in your account receiving coins instead). That refreshes the system and updates the price for Premium+. Again, not a proper workaround since you essentially buy AC imho.
Also, we're currently seeing this locked at the platform level. So if you unlock or purchase Premium on one platform, the discount will not be available on other platforms. Going to update some of my previous replies to link back to this to hopefully avoid potential unnecessary/broken purchases.

I don't think this is correct. When I'm on my Xbox and I click the option, it brings up the Xbox transaction screen, which is outside of Apex. It shows me that the price is still the full one and I'll be charged $20. If you want I can DM you an image.
In-house tests came back with the correct amount being charged despite the display being incorrect, so it's been marked as visual only. If someone gets charged the incorrect amount, lmk and I can reflag.
Being advised that it's a visual error only, and the discounted rate will be charged should folks wish to proceed. If anyone has seen otherwise, lmk!

Just as an fyi to you and your company regarding your communication strategy: please have a look at "Waiting Anxiety" and the "Uncertainty Navigaton Model". You will find lots of research about these concepts and the "art of waiting" for XYZ (in our case, waiting for news about duos) and how to best mitigate negative effects of uncertainty (in our case: uncertainty about the future of duos). One mitigation strategy is information based - once you know why / how long you have to wait for something, your anxiety levels drop (think of waiting at a bus/train stop - you'll probably feel much more anxious if the digital display that tells you when to expect the bus isn't working).
There are lots of insights to be gained by looking at this type of...

easy enough to add in a Legend-specific craftable stat for wins-with-legend. I will ask about that. Certainly the data is there.
The other stuff - the image customization - is not possible (currently). These are just flat TGAs. We don't have a system to "skin" them. I mean, it's computers, so anything is theoretically possible, but that's like a major undertaking to basically make those images dynamic. Not that such a thing wouldn't be cool. It'd also allow us to do a longstanding request, which is that in-game squad banners reflect your skin. Same reason we haven't done that is the same reason we couldn't do this. It's just a big chunk of work to make something like that happen. Also same reason we can't pull the characters out of the art. Yes, certainly possible - it'd be like a much more involved version of the pose capture system for glad cards - but there are important differences between a 3D image capture and a 2D image capture. Please brother, let us know if Duos become a "rotation" LTM instead of a permanent game mode as it has been for the past 4 years, becuase if that's the case I can finally uninstal and move on.

Quietly shelving a "permanent" game mode after it was "temporarily" replaced by Quads with no announcement or any information is a surprising move and I think that disappointment is somewhat justified. Many people (myself included) are predominantly Duos players and they had understandable expectations that it will come back after a temporary Quads takeover ends.
Some form of announcement to manage expectations would be appreciated. I was personally very excited about the new season, mostly looking forward to play Duos again.

We've got a hearty chunk of Duos players internally too. (Still holding out for Arenas myself) Once a timeline for a return can be shared, it'll be communicated out - likely in a blog, but not necessarily limited to that.
Very disappointing indeed, been waiting all season long for duos to come back and it's still not available. I thought Respawn wanted to get better at comminicating and listening to feedback. Here's mine: please bring back duos permanently. Thanks!
