Dirt exists in different variants for different biomes, those are still dirt, but have a different design. We are looking into if we are going to change that in the future, as it causes a bit of confusion, but it was done so you don't have a multitude of different soil types in your storage that you can't really do a lot with.

Please note that doing that will loose you any support for your world - singleplayer worlds are not intended to be increased in size and the settlement system is always enforced on singleplayer servers, as it being off is a legacy setting that may go away at any time. Given the setting cannot be changed once locked in, you could lose your world later on. Settlements in singleplayer do no harm, as in singleplayer with the default settings or if configured manually you gain claim papers that are unrestricted just as in Update 9 and using the features it brings is fully optional - there is hence no reason to turn the system off and using a legacy code base, when you can instead use the current supported codebase and have everything behave just like it was before, but be save for any future changes. Especially given singleplayer worlds tend to be around much longer than multiplayer servers.

Given this question came up just lately, I'm just quoting myself:
Eco is inherently developed for multiplayer experiences, the singleplayer is basically just a dedicated server started locally (which is why it's called local world). The dedicated server requires a connection to our backend servers to determine what content players have access to, if the license is valid and ensures that a player is who they claim to be for all mechanics that require that (like voting), to prevent abuse and cheating. An offline mode would not be compatible with the general technical structure of Eco and we have no plans to implement one.

Also, while we appreciate construcive criticism, we do not need to tolerate false allegations as you have made. Our authentication system was made way before the game was available on Steam and it still is available without Steam, hence using solely Steam services is not possible. Steam's services also don't ... Read more

I have asked you politely as a moderative note to use english in topics that were created in english, specifically saying you are free to open threads in french and write in french there. I also explained why that is - it is confusing and mildly disrespectful to the vast majority of participants here that is known to the english language when each of them has to use a translator separately to understand your text, which can result in different outcomes depending on which translator is used as well. You have the option, as I also said, to write your post in french, put it through a translator (DeepL is a good one) and then post the result here. Then there is a single result and noone else is required to use a translator.

There is no reason to make a thing out of it that it isn't, nor a reason to make a triple post. Following the standard internet etiquette is all I am asking for.

As for your remark in regard to the game language: The language in Eco is separated ... Read more

That's why you check the storage tab first and determine where your purchase is supposed to go to.

@Battle4U: All world information is saved locally on your computer. The backend only stores your user tier, what content you have access to and in the future also your avatar.

I'm not sure what you mean? Laws of settlements cannot affect the client ui to change what storages are displayed, nor can they override your personal settings on what storages are linked.

That already exists via the storage tab where you can determine the linked storage options something will get taken from or placed in. If you look at that tab, you'd see that vehicle.

Note that the seed only gives you the exact same map when everything else in WorldGenerator.eco is the exact same as well. Only a single setting in that config being different means the seed may not produce the same map.

The issue is known and will be resolved in next week's patch.

It is possible your configuration settings were reset when reinstalling. You can quickly fix that by just starting another world with custom settings, configure them to your liking and then switch back to the old world - it will then have the same settings, as they are all shared.

For singleplayer we generally recommend No Collaboration. You can tweak it around to your personal liking, but the main problem is that we don't know your or others personal liking, which is why we give these detail options. No Collaboration fits most, but for some it's still too long to get new professions, while for others (granted, less people) it's not challenging at all.

There is many possible causes for performance degradation, it's not some single issue that could be easily fixed. We provide a developer build for users with that issue that they can use to give us the necessary data to find the cause for their specific problem, see this copied from Discord:

We have prepared a development build allowing to collect diagnosis data about performance issues for WT players.

If you have any sort of FPS issues and want to help getting those fixed, you can now switch to branch "release_dev" in Steam by right clicking Eco -> Properties -> Betas -> Select branch from dropdown. The branch is compatible to join any servers on the current release version and enables you to provide the data we need. You cannot get this data on the regular release version - reports from there can't be taken.

Please read the following careful - reports that do not contain all necessary information unfortunate...

The version was available on the default branch and the steam branch "10.1.4" since the announcement, as always. You may need to restart Steam to be able to see it.

We're going to evaluate the usefulness of the trawler for next update - when outside of an area where there is actual physical fish it only has a random chance to catch fish (that technically doesn't exist, but only catching fish where there is physical fish would be very unsatisfying), alike to to fish traps.
