Try to reconnect to the game / restart the server, does that fix it?

We are going to investigate why this could potentially happen, but it is a false positive. Builds are made automatically on a separated machine and the amount of changes going into the server on hotfixes is pretty low, which wasn't any different in this case. Version control allows to check exactly what went into the code, there not being any malware contained. Any Dev Tier user can view the full source code on our repository.

It is generally known to us that new updates trigger some antivirus software for some people on every update until a few days after release, that has always been a problem that for most antivirus software can only be fixed by paid memberships on their respective form of "whitelist".

You need to delete the files Game.eco and Game.db in the storage directory when making a new world for a dedicated server.

No problem, I can understand the concerns - I'm not a fan of metaverse as depicted in weird Meta TV ads when watching news or the ridiculous ways some companies try to make use of it - but it's an overarching term used in business lingo nowadays for "persistent, connected worlds where people interact with each other in meaningful ways" - and using that for gaming seems natural in business communication. And as I outlined above, it's basically what Eco does - we have had the whole thing about agreements, caring about your world, governance and socializing in the game before the term was even existing, at least widespread.

When you start the EcoServer.exe a server ui will open, you can in there go to Gameplay -> Difficulty and change to "NoCollaboration", it will then set the correct values that you can then save.

Eco is developed as a society simulation and social game, we already consider it part of the "metaverse" - people are spending their time there to play on public servers, socialize and debate about topics relevant for the world. It is no secret we are working on expanding longevity of the gameplay on servers, extend the possibilities for roleplay and socializing (we already have communities with focus on roleplay). Eco Infinite is about extending playtime on servers so they can be run continuously, without needing resets. A persistent world. The website reflects this direction, just with different speech due to a different target audience, showing the grander idea behind all our developments.

Linking different worlds is something we built the game in mind with since Kickstarter (and was mentioned there), as having multiple worlds (easiest way to imagine is potentially an Ark: Survival Evolved Cluster) is something we wanted to support for the far future. Switching server... Read more

We cannot simply delete people's posts because they're old - and it certainly doesn't help to bump up old posts to make outdated info be lost in the deepness of the internet. You can find recent commands on the wiki page mentioned above.

Burying the exhaust doesn't work, but you can move your operations elsewhere, as ground pollution from air pollution via rainfall is a local effect.

The room type has nothing to do with the tier level of the room, that is solely determined by what material it is made of.

It's the naturally generated surface, not water level.

No, but I'm not able to reproduce, the first item freshly crafted after the module is taken out in a work order does no longer benefit from it, as with all subsequent ones. Can you provide additional details to [email protected] or on our bug tracker?

The avatars are also saved locally (although in AppData and the registry), but once you join a server with a specific avatar it will stay for the whole lifetime of that game and can only be changed at a dresser in-game, new avatars or changes made with the main menu do not apply to servers / games already joined.

Correct, you can edit it manually. For singleplayer we don't support any size other then default, though. That is only supported for the actual dedicated server.

There is Small, Medium and Large, but the preset doesn't do anything when changed in the config file, only when changing via the server ui. It only changes the size, with the following being Large and the maximum supported size.

"WorldWidth": 160,
"WorldLength": 160
