Thanks for the feedback! I've noted a few things from it :)

I guess you already know, but for the mining talents they are intended to be used by two players in tandem, e.g. one does the mining and the other the sweeping. Merging the sweeping into the mining action is certainly convenient, but wouldn't fulfil the intention, as such we are rather unlikely to do that - we generally want to put a collaborative focus on more talents in the future as well. The extra rock has always been a debated topic, I personally like them as they give a in-world representation to the "+1 hit" that feels more lively - but I get that others see them as tedium instead. Design-wise, we'd rather have the livelyness than hidden numbers.

Stockpile chaining is indeed something we want to get rid of generally, but better options that are convenient enough aren't there yet. If that would be conveyor belts I don't know - I think we have made clear in the past that automation is not going to play...

That sounds like a connectivity issue, for that see the first point in this thread, it applies to that as well: https://steamcommunity.com/app/382310/discussions/4/4701287772393189498/

How you can find the logs is explained here: https://github.com/StrangeLoopGames/EcoIssues/wiki/Getting-the-Eco-server-and-client-log-files-for-local-world

Note that what we need in this case is the server logs.

What do you think is the most frequent spam to our company mails?

It's bots offering or requesting from us oil products and skid steers - and since Update 10 - boats, lol.

Can you post the full log?

How exactly do you start the server?

The log you are getting notes that the server tries to load an existing savegame and migrate it, which fails. You may want to delete that save if you are trying to create a new one. If you are starting the server executable manually, just remove the Game.eco and Game.db in the storage folder of the server.

What version are you trying to migrate the save from and to which?

Could you send the savegame to [email protected]? Simply upload it to any service we can download it without registration.

Hey Citizens,
we have just released Hotfix 11.1.1 to address the following issues:

Civics:
  • Fixed: Under specific circumstances disabled civics would revert to draft state after a server restart.
  • Fixed: Civics were displayed as invalid and nonfunctional when the settlement system was disabled.
Balance
  • Added: Added new recipe for Reinforced Concrete using Sulfur instead of Cement.
  • Changed: Removed Crushed Sulfur from Cement recipe, as it stopped progression on migrated worlds.
Interaction:
  • Changed: Explosives now fully destroy trees.
  • Fixed: A server restart happening during the detonation sequence of an explosive could make the explosive undetonatable.
  • Fixed: It was possible to recolor shop carts the player didn't own.
  • Fixed: When connecting multip...

Update 11 introduced the new adobe blocks to make basic houses quickly, they don't require wood or stone.

Sorry for the late response, it took me a while to investigate this and talk to everyone involved.

So, first for the intended state and how it works:
- Eco Credits are a integrated virtual currency in the Eco universe, and all mentions of revenue in the game related to the marketplace refer to that currency, similar to how we try to address the player as "citizen" within the game instead of as "player".
- On every purchase of a marketplace item with Eco Credits on a server, shares according to the info screen based on the purchase amount in Eco Credits are distributed to the respective receivers, also in Eco Credits. There is no sharing on buying Eco Credits with real money, sharing is based on Eco Credits spent and hence directly related to them.
- Shares are currently received by eligible server hosts, streamers and modders. The implementation for settlement shares is a bit more complex and still work in progress, as had been announced when the marketplace ... Read more

The passionate defense is actually reinforcing the belief, when I think your goal was to dispel.

That is simply incorrect though, as the leadership hasn't changed since founding of the company - our CEO and Art Director are still the same people and making the key decisions about the base design of Eco. Repair Bounties were designed by our CEO, for example. I specifically noted how I joined the team due to the game desi... Read more

I actually acknowledged that issue and it's a consequence of an iterative development process where we will take a holistic pass at professions and their content levels once all the remaining professions intended to come with big ticket items are finally implemented, which isn't too many more. I'm pretty sure Jens will do a stream on that once we are at that point.

Generally smaller professions aren't bad per se, though - they are very suitable to be done by players with less time commitment a... Read more

I unfortunately don't have any current information on that, but I'll inquire about it. The pet rewards for some tiers are planned to be implemented to the game together with Animal Husbandry.

We did not intend for explosives to be PvP content, by the way.

Originally posted by Taradyn: In both cases, the rooms are underground. There are no adjacent stockpiles though there are some approx. 10+ blocks away (vertically/horizontally). I removed the ladder and floor hole, and the room calc didn't change. There's just nothing in the room that's part of the list of tier 0 or 1 objects though it is surrounded by sandstone and sand. If the surrounding terrain was included, I'd expect the numbers to be a lot higher though.

I appreciate the quick reply, Dennis. Just frustrated and stumped.

Surrounding terrain would be included if the room isn't fully enclosed otherwise. The list of blocks counting for the tier should show their location, what does it say?

Material shouldn't influence room detection, so very unlikely. Where are those things exactly? This can happen if things are in a stockpile directly adjacent to a room, for example.

It is not a secret Eco is focused around play on medium to large public servers which tend to provide the best play experience and are most akin to how we intended Eco to be played - the settlement system should provide a good insight into that. The development currently - as we had already shown in the Roadmap to 1.0 - has a major focus around resolving issues that lead to player dropoffs on such servers that are often related to economical issues caused by the fact that there is no constant need for player's professions beyond the early game - the singular most common feedback currently.

Addressing that is complicated and requires a holistic approach consisting of many different changes. The new repair system is a step in that, as is the maintenance feature and there is multiple more changes to come that have been widely requested by both players and server admins. Both features have adjusted settings on lower collaboration levels (which since Update 11 also automatica... Read more

You need to load a backup before the meteor hit, otherwise the impact time setting has no effect. You also can't turn off the meteor when it already is on the map, it only decides on if one is generated, but doesn't remove an existing one.

It is possible the modded stockpile is not implemented correctly - we do have storages that don't allow storing without pollution, for example vehicles.

If you are refering to head bobbing, that can be turned off in the settings. I otherwise didn't notice any kind of wobbling - it's unfortunately always very difficult to investigate and understand issues leading to motion sickness. Feel free to describe in detail and potentially show with markings in a video, that typically helps. You can send that directly to [email protected].
