I feel like everything before the first gas powered truck is "local" use only. The first gas powered truck onwards is dependent on what the situation is like based on your server's Oil Baron/s. If they have a large Network of gas and can supply a lot of it in a large area then maybe the Boats/Trains aren't needed as much.

I'm not sure how boats (I omit trains, as that's not going to happen during EA) can help with that exactly, given it will be unlikely there is water access to everyone and boats will be distinctively slower than trucks - which will also get trailers as an addition for road transport. Trucks can be put on a type of boat, though, the idea is indeed the mass storage, I just personally never understand why people want that, given it seems many people cheat their stacksizes up anyway. I'm not sure those would swap to boats. And if you just up the stacksizes, you certainly don't need them at all.

So, one thing that seems pretty evident is that everyone lives super close together* so that "time isn't wasted" mentality which kinda puts the likes of Trucks and other Inventory based vehicles a secondary inventory and not a "this will help me travel to other people".

Boats and Trains can aid this as you most likely wont have a boat/train to go like 20 blocks will you. Boats and Trains will enable longer distance traveling which enables more spread out communities or different clusters which also enables larger world sizes to be used.

\At least on the server I play on we basically always live on some form of island together (cause thats what gens on a Small Map) and every rarely spread apart - mainly because we only have a small handful of people playing - like we are enough apart where we can have a decent claim size but thats about it*

On public servers people spread a lot, often way more than they should. It's in opposite much more a problem that people tend to live so much away from each other that it becomes problematic. (But we're actually incentivizing that local community spread with the biome restrictions, as we want them to use trucks to drive to others - I just see people spreading that wouldn't need to as well)

Official servers can be seen on the "Your Worlds" button, there is a category for them.

White Tiger is restarting tomorrow, it's a concepted server, so stuff there is pretty different to the other servers.

DeepL is what I would generally recommend for translating, but I just wanted to ask to keep the discussion on topic, not about interpreting someones language :)

The Powered Cart is the first vehicle we have ever made, it was supposed to be removed from the game once the Steam Truck replaced it, but a good bunch of - probably very pain-liking :D - players voiced they'd like to keep it, so we gave it a bit of a niche place in the typical progression. It's based on such old code though, that it is unlikely it will ever get an overhaul instead of a removal or keeping it as it is, it's just there for legacy rememberance.

When someone is ejected or leaves their residence, the items that were placed by that person get moved into their void storage, accessible by that person via the 'strange loop' icon in the bottom right, left to the map ui panel. It ensures that stuff placed by a tenant is not going into ownership of the landlord when the tenant leaves the residence for whatever reason.

Hey Citizens,
we just released Update 9.6.3 to address the teleporting issue that was introduced in Update 9.6.2 as a consequence of other teleportation fixes and have added some additional fixes, including for Big Shovel mod and the crane:

Chat
  • Fixed: When creating a new chat channel, using "Select All" when adding chat managers or users would result in a disconnect.
  • Fixed: Rapidly opening and closing the Eco Log would result in all chat messages to go to the Eco Log
  • Fixed: Enabling Chat Zen mode was not always hiding the chat UI
Tools
  • Fixed: Using tools and placing blocks could cause the avatar to teleport through terrain
  • Fixed: Mods that allowed editing shovel carry size were still not working after latest update
UI
  • Fixed: Work Order tooltips were missing information who started the work ...

That is actually a bug resulting from the many avatar changes, the prior behaviour will be restored.

We are working on a fix for Update 9.6.3. The issue unfortunately is a bigger one that especially appears when a lot of world updates are triggered and is caused by a fix for teleporting in mines and on stockpiles, so the solution for all three issues is a bit complicated. We try to be as fast as possible. Once it's ready it will be pushed with a fix for the Big Shovel and the Crane.

The new version of Big Shovel will not add a new shovel, but just edit the existing one, as far as I understood.

Kye has noted on the Discord that the mod will only start to work once Update 9.6.2 is released.

You can add a recipe to craft Land Claim Papers like we do on White-Tiger and do so at a table only the government has access to via a law. Or just spawn them a mass of them in.

It is possible to report servers for violations of the Terms of Service at our support mail, but that needs to happen with clear proof. This case unfortunately doesn't look like a ToS violation. I also removed the post that namecalled, given we ask for not to do that in the stickied post.

In 9.5 they fixed the Fishing Rod and catching Pacific Sardines was made possible again. This was said by a dev on official Eco Discord.
Unfortunately it returned and has a fix coming for it.
