What they have listed as part of the event is not nearly enough to entice me to come back for it.

I agree with the other post that the poll doesn't have enough options. If it were an option I'd have voted for a postponement of the cycle refresh to October (and hey that's thematic, undead in october) so that they can focus on packing it with as much content possible. The game is in desperate need of content so I'd be focusing on putting in as much small but meaningful content as possible if I were them. This game won't survive such long patch cycles.

As mentioned in the poll, a later Cycle Refresh is not something we can do due to how much the code changes internally for the 1.2 features. This is the only window during the 1.1 Cycle for a Cycle Refresh.

They continue to do this and it drives me insane.

Make a decision, get community feedback, open a poll, and change course.

If they’re going to follow what the community wants, then just open the poll before making the decision. Goddamn.

Our efforts are to adapt to community response. We were confident in this being a good window to do a Cycle Refresh (as outlined in the poll). However after the announcement we saw a lot of discourse being against it occurring. Rather than hearing, and not doing anything, we seek to have an open discussion with the community and do what we can to gauge that feedback. Listening without being willing to adapt often doesn't really feel like listening at all.

Anything changing at this point is completely dependent on the feedback we get. If there is a strong overall response against the Cycle Refresh, then we will adapt to that feedback.

Our community is the most important thing for us, and so if the community thinks we're taking the wrong direction, we want to hear that, and work with our community to keep making Last Epoch the best it can be for everyone.

A service provider was having some instability this morning but we're seeing it recovering now. Apologies for the intermittence!

I'll accept your opinion that the campaign isn't good enough yet. That could be presented as reasonable feedback. However, I'd be more interested in solving the issue instead of just ignoring it and putting in a detour.

Glad you’re having fun OP! Thanks for taking the time to say so

Aren’t most of these items too OP for your design philosophy? With a lot do them, particularly the helm, amulet and ring players will blast past your precious 300 corruption. This means you’ll either nerf them into oblivion before they are introduced, killing the spirit of the item, or just nerf them after a few patches. Or am I missing something with your philosophy?

We take community designs like this as concepts and inspiration

Absolutely awesome. I'll link these internally to the game design team!

Dragons and meteors... just yes.

Sounds like it’s a common enough request. I’ll get an option for this in our production queue

It's one of a couple fixed drop items that is always in that one place. Like a bow as a rogue from the first enemy of the game. It's designed to give a stun avoidance item early.

Challenge!

Edit: for the record, I more meant that you don't need much in the way of special gear to cruise through the campaign other than a nice leveling weapon.

Flat added weapon damage. You can do the campaign with basic attack and the right legendary weapon.

We have some unannounced changes that we’re excited about related to this coming with the end-game content expansion. Still a bit early to talk about it yet but saying this so you know we agree

Thanks Brau, I’m glad to hear you’re on the journey with us. It’s been a crazy one and this being our first game studio and being a bunch of guys from Reddit means we’re bound to make some mistakes but we’re still in it as always to make the best damn ARPG around.

While we would love to just do our own thing and not consider other releases for timings and things like that the facts are that even though we’re still smaller than these titans that I suppose we’re competing with, to run our studio and game is more expensive than ever and we need to release content that is revenue generating at a time where it’s likely so we can keep developing the dream. We’re still figuring it all out but we sincerely appreciate the support from people like you.

Even if it may seem like we’re in the background from time to time just know that we’re developing content faster and better than ever internally to be released!

Will raise this up internally. There are a lot of gamepad updates happening right now for upcoming patches so it sounds like something incorrectly may have slipped through. If so we’ll hotfix this and figure out what happened

Edit: Hotfixed as of 9/5/24

Thanks for taking the time to say thanks. I’m glad to hear our little project that’s now gotten a bit bigger has helped you. Diablo 2 did that for me a good 20+ years ago! It’s a dream to have been able to make what we’ve made so far and have so many people enjoy it. Much more to come!

i have experinced the same thing at july 10 (based on my steam screenshot date) and i didnt reported it because i've thought that ppl already reported...

i wont do that again.

It's likely that the team already knows about it. If it's been reported in game it's marked on our issue tracker and production has marked it with some level of urgency. If I bring it up internally it typically elevates it a touch though - for better or worse hah.

Looks like you likely need to verify your game files through Steam. Though, if anyone else has experienced this with this map please do let us know and we'll elevate it to our highest priority.
