Read moreI can whip the deeds out of your inventory should you so wish No ETA for the storage refactor yet though.
We don’t expect everyone to have just 1 of each weapon type, but if they did, they’d have around 7% of their inventory taken at most (in the case where everything but weapons was removed from the inventory storage). In the situation where every item is removed apart from weapons, a player could have 13 of each type before they hit the cap (with every weapon available in the game right now).
This is napkin math though, so approx...
Read moreThe plan isn’t to increase inventory size, but ultimately for us to move hard-baked items (cosmetics/items that cannot be customised) to a different storage solution (which is what we did with illusions already). It’s just taking a bit of time.
Bots should get coins as well (just have them start at 0 every time), and you should be able to use the context menu ("Kruber, pick up Healing Draught") to tell them to use weapon things/altars/etc. They get a random boon from boss chests just like from altars and can't get any boons from shrines, but at least it's boons and better weapons. When someone joins, just give them the bot's coins, weapons they come in with in the rarity of the bot's weapons and random boons of the same rarity as the bot's boons.
This way, not only are late joiners not screwed over, bots aren't useless. Of course, I imagine that doing something like this would be a lot harder than it sounds, what with now needing some way for the host to see how many coins each bot has, persistence between levels, etc., but it would be great.
This is just the first iteration of Chaos Wastes. We've seen a lot of suggestions on how we could improve the bot situation in CW.
Right now, for every bot in the group you get more coins per pick up. The idea being it allows you room to go futher to mitigate how the bots get somewhat left behind.
To answer OP, late joiners should be getting some coin to play catch up upon joining a run late. If it's not working then let us know so we can take a peek.
Right now it's weighted anarchy, so if 3 folk pick one branch and 1 picks the other, there's 75% chance it'll go with the majority, and 25% chance it'll go with the minority.
We will patch it to be a majority vote with dice roll in case of a 2/2 split draw though as it feels more in-line with the presentation.
At the moment it’s percentage based. So if 1 person votes one path and 3 the other, the 1 has 25% of being picked and the 3 have 75%. We will be changing this to majority voting in an upcoming update.
Simply put, I respawned back at the temple next to the wall that gets destroyed after getting downed at the ruins almost next to the castle, where the second Grim is. There are two or three points of no return between the two spots, so even if my team wanted to trek aaaaaaaaall the way back for me, they couldn't.
This was in Legend by the way, in case it's relevant, somehow.
It's in our bug tracker! Thanks :)
Try removing the country flag mod <3
Cheers. I can’t confirm if it’s fully intentional - but I shall enquire with the ruinous powers in the office who clearly wanted your party dead!
Are you using any mods, @Loth ?
Video would be super helpful!
We’ll need a Steam profile to be able to look up what might be happening there. If you could DM me one if you prefer not to post it, it would be helpful!
What an amazing week! This past Tuesday, we released Chaos Wastes, a new and free rogue-lite expansion for Vermintide 2. As many of you know, we started this journey over a year ago. It wasn’t always easy, and frankly it took longer than we would have hoped to get here. But, we also wanted to take the time to deliver the fun you deserve.
And judging by your initial reaction, it looks like there is plenty of fun to be had. In fact, in the first 48 hours, Chaos Wastes has quickly become one of our most played modes with the highest number of players online since the launch of the game - which is amazing for a product we continue to support three years later.
Needless to say, we are both thrilled and humbled by the incredible support of Chaos W...
Read moreThe other careers aren’t ready yet ;D These were going to be dripped in over time but we brought them forward due to, well, loads of you wanted to see them all right away. So you’re going to have to wait some time for the others to finish moving through the pipeline.
Next level wholesome! Thanks for sharing, and all our love to all you Skaven Slayers!

Whilst we are currently on a sanction hiatus, it’s not impossible for mods to be approved. I can’t promise a localisation mod would be, there is a lot of nuance to how mod approvals work. I can ask internally what that might look like. For language packs, we can’t always be sure of the content (as we’re not Korean speakers) so it might be tricky.
oi could you tell the leveldesigner(s) at fatshark that they are absolute worldclass when it comes to beauty of levels, in base game they're also worldclass when it comes to the flow of levels but in CW sometimes it can be a bit unclear about pathing to follow, makes sense with the partial-random generation but i think they should consider clarifying the path players are expected to follow.
either way they are up there with the best, like the first area of ds1 greatness, when your mind is blown every time you take a shortcut and think "wow I cant believe these two areas were this close to one another all this time!".
my favorite little detail in CW so far is the ship stuck in ice above what kinda looks like the boss arena where you fight a CW from the base vt2 game. looked pretty and was very creative.
the floating object stuck in air are cool too, especially in some places where it just looks absolutely magical.
I'll pass it on!
