Could you take a look at the PC troubleshooting article and run through any of the steps you may not have tried then try again. The support article contains some of the most common fixes for crashes, freezing, FPS drops and more.

Hi @petek I'm sorry to hear that you are still experiencing issues using Synin in Svartalfheim.

Hi @HawKillS I'm sorry to hear that the Ubisoft Connect challenge 'Eivor's Saga' has not unlocked.

Hi @keirpryde I'm sorry to hear that you are unable to confirm the kill on the order member 'The Deer'.

If possible could you try to load a previous save before he was killed and then try again. However, if this is not possible due to losing too much progress then could you please please provide a video that shows he has been killed and that you are unable to confirm the kill. Can you also go into the Order Members screen to show that 'The Deer' has not been killed.

Hi @bwDraco thanks for reporting this.

Could you also confirm the following:

  • Does it only happen when travelling to Ireland?
  • You mentioned it usually happens on the loading screen and sometimes afterwards. If it happens when the game loads does it eventually go back to normal or stay like that until you fast travel again or change your weapon?

Hi everyone,

I can confirm that the development team are intending to fix this issue with a future update, however we are unable to confirm when this will be. 

Once we have more information we will update this thread.

In the meantime there is a workaround that you can try that was suggested by another player:

"I fought Balor using only bow and arrows. (I am at max lvl already so very high damage output, so some variance of this may be possible, but I believe it involves an issue with the cutscene that plays when you bring Balor's hp to 0 normally).
In the second phase after Balor removes their mask, I shot each of the weak points while Balor is still charging their sword with the eye laser. Then, I used an arrow stun attack to bring the rest of their hp to 0. After the stun attack, Balor is at 0 hp and on one knee. I attack once with a melee attack (personally using greatsword). This triggers the "kill" cutscene except Balor goes...

  • Did anything peculiar happen while Hel's health bar was close to half and after it dropped to what it was showing in the video?


And if you happen to have a video showing the full fight when you were unable to kill Hel?

Could you please provide a video that demonstrates this issue.

This workaround was suggested by the development team. They are continuing to investigate the issue but suggested trying that.

I can confirm that this issue is still being investigated and that we have no further updates.

I understand your frustration that this issue has been ongoing for sometime and can only apologise.

Unfortunately some issues are more complex than others, making them more difficult to reproduce and fix. Also attempting to apply a fix in some cases can cause further issues in the game, therefore the development team need to investigate thoroughly and be able to reproduce the issue before a fix can be applied...
