Thanks for keeping in touch about this error, S3lll. This issue is still being investigated on our end, but I have added that you suspect the cause of the error is from having the settings for Volumetric Fog on Medium/Low versus High. I'm very sorry that we do not have any updates to share yet, but I do hope to post details here once I have any new information.

Hi guys! Parroting what Imagine_Brata and WrecK3rr said, setting the Global Difficulty to "Normal" should help make this easier as a solo player. However, definitely feel free to use the in-game matchmaking system if you want to try your luck with a squad. Best of luck to you!
