There is some very vague backstory to it all, but nothing concretely made yet. EG; This all takes place after what amounts to a World War 3 scenario which has irradiated much of the area surrounding the area the game takes place in, and is also the cause of the wasteland biome. Probably the radiation made some kind of super virus which caused zombies, which lead to a bunch of other stuff.

We, the player, come into the picture a year or ten down the line, many places are already ransacked, many survivors before us have tried and failed, etc.

A correct random number generator gives you random numbers. We use an industry standard random number generator, so it does work. Truly random does mean you could get the same thing many times in a row, which people often don't like and want something less random.
Now the seed used for the random generator could cause issues if not varied enough or reused/repeated.

Yes, supercorn seems underdeveloped in the current game. I imagine more changes are in store.

Yeah, that's way too many electrical items. It's the cause of your troubles. Why the heck to you need that many turrets???

Out of curiosity, with exactly how many players, and how much electrical are you having this issue with?

Also, just FYI, All caps is rude AF. Title or not.

Moved to the correct forum section. Read the Pinned thread here on how to report an issue, and follow the instructions.

Even if you play with no loot respawn, an 8k map has so many places to loot that over 90% of the map will be looted after you've reached a gamestage of 30.

don't open them until your game stage is over 30

Originally posted by jebblue: I have no interest in wolf taming. It's not a fantasy game. The building additions would be nice I guess. I would like to see wolves not attacking on site, they don't do that IRL.
My counter to 'they don't do that IRL' is they also aren't constantly hunted and harassed by zombies IRL either.

Any wolf (Or animal, really) constantly harassed and threatened will start fighting back. And in this world this is years down the line from the start of the apocalypse; more than long enough for wolves to get into the mentality of 'attack things on two legs; AKA humans; they're dangerous but often easy to kill and rarely a threat' -- On two legs is both zombies AND survivors, and if you've ever seen a ... Basically this. You're probably playing with boosted loot % rates, which will increase the number of items in stacks.

Also note, this is something that is still being balanced in the base game. Remember, we're in Alpha development. You did not purchase a finished product.

Baring that, things are pretty easy to mod.

How useful the LCB is as far as that goes will depend entirely on the server's settings. It could be set as infinite if the server owner wanted to block base raiding.

More information would be needed. It should also be noted that there is a hell of a lot more to the internet than just a speedtest to your local ISP.

Most likely the issue is going to be related to security software, use of wifi, or something in between the two of you. Without more details though, All I can do is parrot the same things already expressed in the threads that are Pinned at the top of the forum here, and in the Official Developer forum[community.7daystodie.com].

Weather changes were not planned for a20, but after noticing the state of the code, that it was not gold quality, I ended up spending a lot of December overhauling it. The overhaul is basically done, but the simulation parameters are still being tweaked and needs testing/feedback. Now the players reaction to the weather is completely separate, so this does not change what happens to the player being hot/cold/wet/etc.

The amount of logic we already run from xml adds a good amount of overhead to the game. It could be added, but it would be slow, so not likely.

Your PC hardware can play a big difference in it too.

I went from an i7-3930k to an R9 3900X, and the difference in visuals was stunning. Exact same GPU, driver settings, and same in-game video settings between them.

It's almost like Unity just doesn't utilize certain video settings much if the system isn't able to process them.

Just going to quote myself from a similar thread:
Originally posted by Shurenai: Most of the graphics demonstrated in the ingame store are available and witnessable in game. The closest offender here is the 'god rays'..

..But you can see those, even on lower graphics settings when set up right. However it's not an all the time constant thing. There are moments during the day and weather and such that will have that effect. What TFP did with the pictures was basically to find a spot, ...
