If you do some research, you will find that this was changed to improve game client performance, and server performance. Especially during bloodmoons.

No, and yes, in that order. Junk turret always places facing forward from your standing position; It's not a permanant emplaced trap like the SMG or shotgun turrets, it';s more a companion to bring with you to defend points with.

But you can absolutely put one behind a hatch and it should only fire when the hatch door is open.

Saves are not forward compatible between major versions due to too many things changing behind the scenes and even on the stage itself.

EG: An exp rebalance that reduces the exp needed to level up would result in you having more exp than is required for your next level; so you can never actually hit 100% of the exp required and gain a level, since you're at 101+% already.

EG2: They renamed the terrain block Stone to RawStone, suddenly your old save would have no stone layer whatsoever

And other such nonsense. If you want to continue your old save, you'll have to opt into the A18 alpha via the beta menu.

That’s right: they can’t actually see through regular windows. And you can make wood windows with just wood, so you can have your ‘one way mirror’ in effect from day 1.

If you own the game, you cannot purchase the two pack; When buying the two pack the first copy of the game MUST go to the purchasing party, It's a limitation on Steam's end to reduce key reselling. So you'll have to buy single copies of the game, or give a gift card to your friend or something and have him buy the 2 pack.

IF you're not attempting to buy the two pack, then I've got nothing; it should work. :S

No, you just walk around with the frame and watch the colors change. Same as walking around with an LCB.
This- You can do it with any placable block, Land claims just have a much larger area.

You don't even need a block even, depending on the claim settings- If LCB's multiply block health or make things... Read more

Though it's been mentioned, I'd like to restate that the Farm Plots don't cost much more material than farming used to- The old Fertilizer requirement (Previously some nitrate and poop and such) has been built into the farm plot block and the process no longer requires access to a cement mixer. Farming in the older version Without fertilizer would let you grow a crop sure- But you'd just get one crap back from it, meaning you'd be net-neutral, no gain to doing so. Plus you had to expend metal and wood on a hoe to even till soil to begin with.

So it costs you a bit of clay and wood now, and in return you get a plot-box that can actually be moved after the fact, where previously once you placed fertilizer on the ground that was basically it, it's there forever.

They ain't magic boxes, It's balanced rather well, costs a similar if not lesser amount of material than it used to, is portable, and can be worked into a base design without looking rather awful.

So you eat two strips of bacon and two eggs in the morning, and that's a breakfast to you? I mean, yeah, it's a meal...but it isn't very filling. Most, or at least the people I know in My family would tend to make it 3 bacon, 3 eggs, some corned beef hash, and a slice or two of buttered toast.

Similarly, You're looking at the word 'Steak' and thinking some honkin chunk of meat in the 8-12~ ounce range, which is normally eaten along side, yknow, a MEAL with say a baked potato and another side or two.. When in actuality it's more like a one or two ounce strip of meat.

And it's a survival game- What else are you expecting to spend time on? But more importantly- Make better food. Higher tier and higher quality food WILL fill your belly in one or two bowls (Meat Stew for example)

You're basically scarfing down Tier 1 food and expecting it to fill you the way Tier 5 food does, and that just doesn't game balance.

In short, their AI is more complex and they’ve been delayed while the kinks are worked out. Personally, I’m hopeful that some of the lessons learned could later come in handy for implementing bandits.

The bow is certainly worth it in the early game, because you won’t have much choice. If you want a ranged weapon immediately, it’s either the primitive bow or the stone spear I suppose, which I don’t care for. After that you have the Blunderbuss once you do some looting.

In the later game, the role of bows is clearly stealth. With a maxed out character, I believe only the knife has a higher sneak damage bonus than bows. However, if you’re specializing in bows you’re probably specializing in Agility more broadly, and it does seem like the pistol class (e.g. the SMG) outclasses bows when both are fully modded out.

The idea of the Blood Moon is pretty genius and unique among survival games. It provides an answer to the question of “yeah I have to survive, but what am I supposed to do?” It gives you a palpable long term problem you know is coming, which drives you through the open world sandbox to come up with solutions to that problem. Without the Blood Moon it wouldn’t be 7 Days to Die, literally and conceptually.

Yeah, this is pretty much a lot of the reasoning behind the change.

You are unable to purchase the two-pack as a gift, but you should be able to gift individual keys.
