Are you closing the game when it 'stops working'? Chances are it's actually still working in the background and Windows is just being dumb. Next time it happens open task manager and check if the ram/cpu usage are fluctuating; If it is, it's likely the game is still doing something.

Alternatively, if you have a small amount of ram (Like, 8gb), you may be running out of available memory during generation, in which case you need to ensure your pagefile is enabled and large enough for the game to dump excess data to (If you have 8gb ram, you'll want 8 or 16gb of pagefile)

If they allow crafting of level 6 items, then a week later someone will say "Hey it would be cool if special Orange Tier 7 items could be looted, except they are ultra rare. That would give us a reason to keep exploring!"

Then a week after they put that in, someone else says "Hey, how come I can't craft Tier 7 items? That sucks!"

So they put that in. Then a week later.....

Etc.
Tier 7 Legendary loot is actually planned though. Will require conquering a specific boss in a specific radiated area that requires specialized gear just to su... Read more

What’s an example of a country that would block sales?
This is a short list off the top of my head, and is not conclusive. Surprisingly, there are fewer that would have an issue with crack being added.

I can't point to a specific country, But most 'negative' things(EG: Killing/Murder/sex/drugs/etc) involving children will quickly get a game punted in... Read more

I personally always chalk it up to "Back yard forge and workbench" vs "Precision fabrication by machine with computer control accurate down to 1/1,000,000th of an inch using ultra pure quality ingredients and perfectly crafted parts."

Like, yeah, it'd be nice to craft Q6 items, but, truthfully, You will never be able to replicate by hand and by reading out of a book or muddling around a bit the kind of workmanship that can be done with precision machinery. You're not a master craftsman of forty years that can reproduce a level of quality that a machine can; You're a backyard survival guy doing the best with the crap he's got.

Plus, as has been expounded above, If you can craft the top tier gear, why ever explore? As it stands, Q5 gear is already plenty to succeed with- You never NEED Q6 gear. Q6 gear is nice, but, not necessary in the slightest. So just let it be loot only; When you find it you'll be excited, and till you find it, it's reason to keep looking.

Vertical support is infinite when there is an unbroken line of blocks from bedrock to the block being supported- A central pillar(even 1x1) can thereby go all the way to the build height which is...pretty high, imo. It doesn't matter what material most of the pillar is either; even wood frames can. However, to build horizontally off the pillar the material that the floor/ceiling is connected to does matter; so it's best to use concrete or reinforced concrete at any joints.

Any openings/rooms along the way up, be it a mineshaft you made or a room you made will compromise structural integrity, so just make sure to add adequate pillars to support whatever floor you want to add and you'll be fine. And if there's a risk of zombie attack on a lower floor that they can gain access to, make sure to make it extra thick or out of a more durable material.

Remember: Unbroken line from bedrock; Any open space in the line makes the vertical support finite from that spot upw... Read more

I would say it doesn't help at all depending on a person's vision, or their monitor, or both. I can add blocks horizontally to a structure until it collapses and I don't see a color change at all. I think a game that does it quite well is Empyrion Galactic Survival. It calculates SI on each block and a horizontal co...

Hold R to open the radial wheel, and select "Advanced rotation"; Then you'll have the full set of rotations including ones not in the normal 'simple rotation' line.

A cheese/exploit base is using an unintended flaw in the AI programming to basically have a free ride.

EG: When zombies could not dig down, building a base underground was an exploit; You'd just have to go a few blocks down and place a block over your head, and you became untouchable by zombie hands. Put iron bars there and you can shoot them as they gather collectively and unthreateningly above your head.

EG2: Previously in A16, A17, A18 zombies would attempt to walk on steep block shapes; But they actually could not walk on them at that time, so instead of walking on it, they'd just slide and fall down. This was exploited to make loop bases in which the zombies THINK they can reach the player, There's a block path there after all; But in actuality the zombies cannot reach the player, ever. They just try, slide down the wedge tip, and then have to walk around to the staircase and try again.

EG3: A few alphas ago, Zombies would blithely walk rig... Read more

98% of the time, this is it. It's a known issue with the occlusion system Should be fixed in a future update.

I think they view character customization like the water: not worth touching until they’re ready to overhaul it once and for all. They plan to completely redo the clothing and armor system, and to be honest, I get the sense they view character customization as an unimportant legacy feature that’s covered up by what you’re wearing anyway. You can look at the preset profiles to see the range of character looks that are, for now, possible.

That setting in particular will mean a faster rise in game stage and thus more and tougher zombies. It’s not a way to make the game easier, and it’s not recommended until a player is experienced enough to use the extra skill points they’ll be earning effectively to meet the added challenge.

I think if someone wanted one, they could make a mod that re-skins the minibike and play with the numbers a bit.
