I don't know yet. There is a good chance doors will retain zero SI.

Sorry. Don't know. I have never looked at our rumble code.

We could, but probably better to wait for world events to get developed and have options for that.

Cool. Thanks for the feedback!

It could go either way. Probably depends if we find any major issues.

If a game is on steam it will typically have been vetted a number of times, scanned multiple times, etc, before ever being made availalbe for a consumer to download. Moreover, The forums would be awash with "THIS GAME IS MALWARE!" posts; and steam would have torn it down ages ago.

Windows is hilariously oversensitive somtimes when it comes to malware; many security programs are. Most often they're twitchy over 'New' files, because anything new hasn't been tested by the company that owns the security program and thus anything new is, by default, Malware in the programs eyes. These false positives typically get reported as something like "Generic-Malware-Blahblah-Xyz"; which essentially translates to "We don't know what this is, so we're acting against it just in case."

It's not malware. You can take my word for it, Or not; It's your choice and your computer.

Options are limited. Rocks and shopping carts are technically blocks, which means they can’t get knocked around by vehicles. So either they’re destroyed on contact, or you hit them like a brick wall.

I’m hoping they can add a third option: ‘soft’ blocks you can drive through but your vehicle is slowed in the process. I believe this would be a good option for trash piles, and it would also open up possibilities like driving slower through sand and tall grass.

Sexosaurus is very powerful indeed.

Everything is a lot easier for people who have played the bits off of this game but we can't make a game for people with 500+ hours in the game.

If it was just up to me, game difficulty would have more varied effects beyond enemies becoming more HP spongy.

Alas, a) it's not just up to me and b) doing something like that should happen after release because that would be a serious rebalancing effort.

You can use the forgetting elixir you get from the trader to refund the points.

You can also mod the game to make sure that this perk has zero effect if you determine that everyone else also has to agree.

I'm on Day 117 or so now in A19, single player. It's one of my longer games; I'm pushing myself to explore late game stuff instead of starting over. I might have had a longer game in an earlier alpha, but I'm not sure. As I recall the days used to be shorter by default.

Part of your issue is going to be the resolution. This game isn't designed for 1440p or 4k. Due to the nature of the Voxel engine, the higher you raise the resolution, the more it will stress the CPU. I would recommend setting it at 1080p, and then capping the FPS for this title to 60 in the Nvidia Control Panel.

While the CPU isn't bad, my overclocked i7-3930k benchmarks right next to it with a mild overclock. With extreme OCing, I can get about 10% faster. Pushing my old system on a mild OC (4.25Ghz is mild. I can get to 4.5 pretty easy, and extreme is 5.1GHz.) with 32GB DDR3 in quad-channel, and a 1060 6GB GPU I can get stable around 110 with the occasional dips into the 80's.

You'll want to make sure that the client is fully excluded from security software, and to kill any bloatware you have sitting around. Most pre-built PC's are well loaded with useless bloat.

Spawn locations are set when the world is created. There is more than one. If you use the same seed it will use the pre-existing map, but you aren't guaranteed to spawn in the same spot.

1. This is just the beginning of the new system. More details are available here.
https://community.7daystodie.com/topic/21228-looting-progression-plan/

2. Agreed, and also something that is getting some work in the future.

3. I have never had this much of an issue with it.

4. The system is still being worked on and tweaked, but is currently close to completed.

Performance and optimizations.... This is something you do after you leave Alpha development. We aren't quite there yet.

Your friend with the 3070 may have some other issues. This is a Voxel game. It depends more on CPU and RAM than the GPU. If you guys post your details, I'm happy to help you figure out where the bottleneck is, and how to fix it.

This isn't on the A20 agenda. We're just discussing possibilities.

Keep it about the game, people. I had to delete more posts with opinions about China and/or Chinese political figures. That's off topic.
