Do we understand when/why they choose to dig/destroy instead of path?

I've seen some content that seeks to frustrate the pathing AI by tempting the AI to path and not dig.

One reason was that there was a copyright issue. It was too similar to an existing song.

Alos, just FYI. I left this post open because it seemed to be more generalized.

However, if you are just going to re-hash the magazine system ad Infinium there is already a thread for that you should be using.

Correct. People posting on the forum only represent like 0.03% of the player base.

Did you move your saves to the new machine? You kinda have to do that in order to expect to see the old saves on the new computer.

I would like to expand on this.

First up, One VERY important thing to note is that the game is very much intended to be, at least in part, a Tower Defense game. 'Exploiting' the pathfinding of the enemy is pretty much the way the genre works.

In a traditional TD game, You dont get to make the path- You just place defenses on a pre-made path. In 7DTD, you get to make the path too.

Here's the clincher- The difference between 'Making use of the tools available' and 'Exploiting the game' pretty much come down to whether or not the zombies are intended to behave a certain way in regards to a certain block or setu... Read more

I just smelt Dukes. They are so easy to get that I don't even bother trying to farm radiators.

Yes. That was extremely frustrating for several hours.

The developer intends that the player will never feel "safe".

Personally, I just build a fighting base with the ability to easily move to any side that is being attacked. I set up turrets to cover most of the angles and assist in dealing damage, and utilize spikes, electric fence, and blade traps for the sides. Not a ton though, because I want to be able to get down there and move around if necessary.

After that is it basically just bullet soaking the mob. It helps if you take the extra effort to focus on head shots. You waste a lot less bullets that way. Even with the M60 I don't spray and pray, but use it in small bursts and have it modded for accuracy and reload speed.

Also keep in mind I am not doing this solo, but with a group of 3-4 other friends.
If I were solo, I would use a similar setup, but would add a method to control their path a bit so that they aren't able to just rush the wall.

Looks like Steam broke something. No one is currently able to reply to posts. You can make new threads, but any reply is impossible.

I even attempted to work around it by creating a new thread, and then merging it into an existing thread. Unfortunately that was not successful either.

Please be patient while we wait for Steam to resolve the problem.

Oh...also...

Since it seems like you have at least a little experience modding since you were considering doing it yourself, you might consider downloading the Darkness Falls mod and simply remove the demons from the entities. That would be far easier than modding in your own version of learn by doing. That's if none of the other mods are as appealing as Darkness Falls has been for you up to this point.

You might try Undead Legacy or War of the Walkers. One I really enjoyed for awhile was District Zero which replaces the zombies with robots and changes some of the fundamental vanilla rules.

Actually, I recommend that you download Sphereii's modlauncher and just explore the list of mods that are included in it. It makes trying lots of different overhaul mods easy to do and you can see the whole list of those mods that are updated for A21. Maybe one will really gel with your group.

If that is the case, then he should be making less cryptic posts in the appropriate forum section.
