It’s a pretty polarizing idea. People either love or hate the idea of permanent degrading of equipment and since this is the Internet forum it’s mostly hate that is expressed. There are mods for it though.

Yep. Achievements weren't added until around Alpha 14. Which was almost three years after the game was available on Steam.

Steam cloud dies not support the amount of data 7 days would need for it to work.

Besides, there are a lot of people with limited bandwidth that would really hate this.

For most games, your save is less than 150MB and consists of a single file.
For 7 Days the save consists of a large number of files that can easily equal 2-3GB for a long playthrough. They start out around 1GB, which already exceeds the limit of the Steam Cloud storage.

Also note that if you had done any research, you would find this question asked and answered about once a month for the past several years.

All you need to play in your new computer is to copy the files. Instructions are in the Support forum.

Go to the Support section of the forum, and read the Pinned threads.

I'll give you some assistance in finding it by moving your thread there.

Drinking water hasn't been removed. You just can no longer obtain water using empty jars. You can find jars of murky water, you can drink straight from a water source, and you can craft dew collectors.

Game already has a huge modding community. It just isn't on Steam.

Workshop support is planned. There is a Pinned thread in the Modding section of this forum regarding it.

I’m seeing at least does in A21 vanilla. I’ll move this to the Modding sub-forum.

There is not enough information to help the OP here. If you’re having an issue, please go to the Support & Bug Reports sub-forum and refer to the pinned thread for instructions on how to report an issue.

There are not. The game is primarily a SP or 1-8 player coop game, Not a big multiplayer centric type. All servers are player owned and operated.

I asked for advice on unused ammo types on the official forum. The suggestion I liked the most, and ended up doing, was using it in turrets.

To deal with the three stack sell limit, you could visit multiple traders. Or if you really can’t be bothered and don’t mind an unfavorable ratio, I suppose you could smelt the ammo and turn the brass into something you do like.

Last night I popped one with an arrow from below, and his throat ripped open with his head leaning back, as he fell forward and then rag dolled down a staircase with blood spurting out of his neck. 2100 hrs, never seen that. I'm chopping heads and limbs off. Even chopped a hand off. Putting arrows in eyes. Ripping guts open. Sawing head caps off. Scalping them. Smashing their skulls in, head flat.

Yeah, it's a good point. While not the same as finishing moves, a lot of work has gone into dismemberment now. It may have escaped the not... Read more

Lockpicks can't open doors in the vanilla game, So that isn't even an option- Which means his 'claim' that he isn't using lockpicks is actually true in the technical sense.

If you're the host and didn't give him admin permissions, then there's nothing in that area he can do either, though I don't think admins get an option to interfere with others' items like that either.

Tbh, It sounds like your friend is doing/has done something sus, or has figured out the code by some means, such as for example sitting there going 1 1 1 1, 1 1 1 2, 1 1 1 3, etc till he figured out your code, then put in the right code right in front of you to screw with you.

Generally speaking, If the thread has an Objective and clear cut factual answer and has little to no discuss-ability, It belongs in Questions & Answers.

If it doesn't have a clear cut factual answer and is more open to discussion, it belongs in General Discussions.

To pose an example of each:
"What do you guys think of the water changes?", This is asking about the Subjective thoughts of other users and is likely to spur on a continuing discussion- Ergo, it is a General Discussion thread.

"How do I put mods in my weapons and tools?" meanwhile is asking for something that has a clear cut factual answer to it- One or more users may answer the question to help the OP, but, ultimately, there isn't much to discuss on this topic except any off-topic content people making replies may bring into the thread.. Being devoid of any real discussion fuel and with a clear factual answer likely provided in the first couple responses,This is definitely something th... Read more

Sounds like a good idea for their next game. :cozyroe:

As far as giving adrenaline to the gameplay, the game already has that. There are character builds that have bonuses applied when you hit an enemy while it’s down. So unless I’m powerful enough to one-shot-kill everything, I feel that rush to hit the zombie as much as possible before it can finish getting up.
