The game is built and balanced around 1-8 player coop; 16 at the absolute most. You're not going to find servers with hundredS of people in it that run well, let alone even one hundred. Anything over 32 becomes a technical nightmare and requires some seriously beast hardware to hold up under the strain.

You mean RAM? Because i'm pretty new to hosting server, and thanks for the advice. In my case my old pc is a laptop of 8 gb ram..... so i think i will pass for the dedicated

Stupid easy to setup a dedi. I personally recommend using headless Linux as it will perform considerably better than a Windows machine.

How well it works is going to be largely dependent on the hardware you have. This game requires fast CPU and disk access.

In the case that you choose to rent, here is a curated list.

So I see. I agree with you, that there would be a logic to making Genghis Khan a harder achievement than Alexander the Great. I thought it was but I read your top post wrong.

I’m no historian, but… the ordering aligns with Wikipedia’s ranking of the largest empires by area[en.m.wikipedia.org], which the article says is the most commonly used metric. First French colonial empire < Roman Empire < Macedonian Empire < Mongol Empire. I get that going by people killed would be a more direct analogue, but… eh, those were real people and that’s a morbid direction to take a game.

Correction: the game currently makes Alexander the Great the harder achievement than Genghis Khan, which doesn't align with the linked ranking.

The forge and the bellows are worth getting when you can even if they aren't necessary. So don't give up on them.

No touching Only touching!

When building, you can’t put just any two shapes adjacent to each other, even though the game lets you. There must be an area at the interface where they make visible contact. Or in other words, no floating pieces.

I thought that was where the items would be after they are already melted, will try that now because they were only on my inventory I was expecting it to be the same as making food... but for som...

If you've already crafted the forge... How do you still need magazines to know how to craft a forge? The former can't happen without the latter being finished. Are you perhaps misconstruing what will be unlocked in 8 more magazines? The magazines that taught you the forge also teach you to make the dew collector, the workbench, etc. Additionally, iirc the forge unlocks after like, 3 magazines? So how do you need 8? O.o

Also you don't Need the Anvil or Bellows for the forge to function- They're optional addons that speed up it's functions, but are in no way necessary. You don't have to go grind trader missions to get money to buy it.

Patience is a virtue, Except when it's not.
Debug enabled, But not allowed to use any function except to teleport via the map, with the restriction that the area must have been explored/visited first previously.

In short, Having poured close to 2000 hours into the game, 1250~ or so of it tracked on steam, I'm just tired of having to travel back and forth through previously explored space. It doesn't help that I'm a consummate loot hoarder, so even visits to T2 or T3 POIs often necessitate 2 or more trips back to base with a backpack full of items, let alone T4+; Or that I just don't have as much time to play anymore.. Life sucks that way.

So- Teleport via map w/ the described restriction. This eliminates alot of the, to me, tiresome back and forth. The restriction makes me explore new terrain, which is still fun to me, and means I can't just teleport across the map to a newly unlocked trader or whatever.

I often also enforce not being allowe... Read more

No. But chunks can have a spawn mask that keeps the area relatively clear for awhile once you kill all the wilderness spawns in the area. It could have just coincided with you also clearing away the wrecks. Wandering hordes will still come through but wilderness spawns will end for a time. The time is different for the different biomes and also for city areas. I'm not sure on the exact times.

Forest biome has had some of the more dangerous animals reduced, or changed to only spawn at night. Daytime in the forest has been made a bit easier for new players that are just getting started.
Night in the forest is more dangerous now than it has ever been though. With the alpha wolf and other wolves spawning, plus a mechanic that can randomly spawn a snake next to you as you are walking around. You are also more likely to run into bears or zbears at night.
Amount of zombies spawning in the forest has not changed.

The scout zombie that you call the witch used to just call a flat horde whose size was based entirely on your bloodmoon zed count setting.
Now the horde that is called by the scout is based on your personal gamestage. So if you have a lower gamestage, you aren't going to get wrecked by a big horde your character is not capable of defending adequately. The second screamer would not have done anything if the limit for the player had already been r... Read more

There's two versions of the garage door; An electric version, and a normal version.

The normal version is E to interact, this is the kind you'll see in a POI.

The electric version must be, yknow, wired electrically; It must receive power and some form of signal to change states; so you must have some form of power to provide, and a switch or pressure plate or something to act as the signal change.

There is already a thread for discussing how long the game has been in development. We keep it pinned to the top, so you can't miss it. Please discuss this topic there instead of cluttering the forum with redundant threads.

This. Any use of cheats in the session prevents progressing during the session.. So if you have a habit of turning on debug mode/creative mode as a preventative measure or for fun or what have you, it'll block achievement progress.
