Then I'll need to have a look at your output log (called player.log on Mac and Linux). This guide explains where to find it and recommends some sites to upload it to, since we can't attach files here on Steam.

You have some old broken mods, which might be the cause of your problems. Unsubscribe from these:

- Extended Public Transport UI (this was added to the game, so you don't need the mod anyways)
- Automatic Bulldoze (there's a version 3 on the workshop you can use instead)

And setting your pagefile to 32GB is definitely a good idea too. :)

A good size pagefile is probably the solution here. I recommend setting it to 32GB and ofc make sure you have that much free space on the disk it's on.

RAM usage going up isn't surprising. With 8GB your game would be relying on the pagefile to load, so now that you have more available RAM, it's taken some load off the pagefile and is using RAM instead.

But we can also take a look to see what's happening with your game and confirm if it's even memory related at all. :) We'll need the output log (called player.log on Mac and Linux) for that. This guide explains where to find it, and recommends some sites to upload it to, since we can't attach files here on Steam.

If you can post some screenshots of the setup or share the save to the workshop, that would help us figure out what's up. Sometimes water will flow around it if there's space, which stops the water from getting high enough behind it. Other times water flow will change and flow away from the dam, so it stops working.

Since this is only happening for Network Extensions 2 roads, let's try to have Steam download all the files for the mod again. That should fix any issues from a file for the mod being corrupted.

- Unsubscribe the mod on the workshop while the game is closed.
- Go do the workshop folder (F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\255710\), and find and delete the folder named 812125426
- Subscribe to the mod again and wait for Steam to download it
- Start the game and see if the roads behave properly.

Does it help if you change the "Level of Detail" to "High" instead?

Looks like the file needs view access for anyone with the link. It won't let me see it or download it. :)

Since it sounds like you're new to mods, I'm gonna recommend this guide. It covers all the basics that are important to know, including things like subscribing. :)

If you can upload a new log from the last attempt (with the broken mod removed), I'd be happy to take a look. :)

Can you grab a screenshot of your graphic settings?

Whenever this happens to me mid game, I switch to using the shortcut for underground bulldozing (which is V). Just double tab it and you get into the normal bulldozer without Find It being confused and hijacking your shortcut.

Gonna try removing Find It's shortcut though. That would be even more handy. :)

How far does the game get? Do you see the launcher at all? Can you get to the main menu of the game?

For problems with the launcher, please try the steps in this thread. If that doesn't help, follow the instructions at the end to contact Paradox Support.

Your mods look fine, but let's make sure Improved Content Manager is all good. Unsubscribe it, wait a moment while Steam removes it, then subscribe to it again. Then start the game.

If you still don't see the mods, let's try resetting the game settings. You will need to find and delete the file named userGameState.cgs - it's found here:
C:\Users\Philip\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines

Then try the game again.

Hmm, I'm not sure what would do that. Did you remove any mods recently, which might have turned it off?

Did you restart the game after adding the RICO settings to the buildings?

That's completely normal. The zoned areas show up when placing roads so you can see if you're building on areas that have been zoned or affecting those tiles.

Originally posted by Mr, TurtIe: I use these.

Unlimited oil and ore, automatic empty (workshop), unlock all, hardmode, karlatornet(workshop building I never used in that city yet).

I'm still not able to reproduce it. Was it just a one time thing for you or can you repeat it in your save? I wonder if it only triggers in certain conditions. :/

If it's an empty blue screen (or mostly empty with a bit at the bottom), then it's likely a mod issue or a simulation error. We'll need to see your output log (player.log on Mac and Linux) to be able to help. This guide explains where to find it and suggests some sites to upload it to, since we can't attach files here on Steam.
