HUD

  • The numbers in the Ally and Enemy score elements now have an outline
  • There is now an indicator below a player’s avatar when they have the Diabotical powerup, which scales and moves to the side if the player also has the flag so that 2 icons can show up in that situation - note that there is an issue with the icon not showing up inside the rectangle when someone else has it
  • Note that there is an issue at the moment with the weapon icons not showing up in the frag feed

Sound

  • The equip sound of the Laserpen, Machinegun and Melee have been updated (recent unreported change)
  • The firing sounds of the Crossbow and the Melee have been updated (recent unreported change) -The vertical range of sounds is now half of the horizontal range

Interface

  • df_p0_01 and df_p0_02 now have thumbnails in Custom Game (recent unreported change)
  • In Custom Game, Team Deathmatch has been added as a mode

HUD

  • When you have the console open while being in the HUD editor, your WASD and arrow keys no longer move the selected HUD element
  • In the HUD editor it is now possible to define certain Accent box corners to be round and others to be straight by changing the Corner Bitmask value (negative numbers are also accepted)
  • In the HUD editor it is now possible to set stroke width on the static icon elements
  • The default size of the static icons has been slightly increased - check if you need to adjust them if you have a custom HUD
  • In Duel the Ally and Enemy scores (at the top by default) now work correctly again
  • The Duel’s final scoreboard shows the correct player scores at the top

  • The Ally and Enemy Score elements have been updated with options to set the score width, name width, reverse order and show player(s) - due to this change you should either place these elements again or click the Reset HUD button
  • The Ready message is no longer stuck in the middle of the screen
  • With the exception of Time Trial, the Time Limit is now being shown correctly instead of staying as “Warmup”

Visual changes

  • The intro and mvp cameras are working again

Maps

  • duel_outpost_dunia_wip has been updated with a new jumppad path behind Red Armor, the upper Yellow Armor has changed into Blue Armor along with the colors of that room, the Megahealth room has changed and now includes a stairway to Mega
  • df_p0_01 and df_p0_02 have been updated with time trial start and end entities

Interface

  • The appearance of the Custom Game’s dropdowns and input boxes has been updated
  • The issue with the border of the map image in Custom Game has been fixed
  • The default team colors in Custom Game and More settings have changed, purple is now the default second team color, khaki has been added
  • Changing the video resolution now shows the warning message that you need to restart the game
  • Some more decals have been added in the Customize menu, medal decals (Diabotical\autodecals\Jacobs_Decals\Medal_Decals), sun and moon decals (Diabotical\autodecals\Jacobs_Decals\Random_Decals) - thumbnails will be added soon

Update #1

Interface

  • In the Quickplay menu the Brawl mode has been changed from saying Trios to saying 5v5, the Instagib mode has been changed from Duos to 5v5
  • The Custom Game’s map image has been moved slightly to right to avoid a vertical line being visible when the mode dropdown is opened
  • The Customize menu’s dropdown arrows have returned and the bar is no longer spilling out

HUD

  • Adjustment to the padding of the icons on the Weapons list
  • The score indicators now have text shadow to avoid issues with bright team colors
  • The score indicators in Brawl have round score indicators in preparation for when those are implemented

Interface

  • The Play menu cards now have hover text on them explaining each mode
  • The Quickplay cards have been adjusted to show the images and animations in a less zoomed in state
  • Clicking the Custom Game menu now shows the lobby request messages and the menu fades in properly
  • In Custom Game, there is now a mode option called Ghost Hunt which includes the following map selection: ig_egg-plant, ig_stronghold, wo_furnace, wo_refinery, wo_wellspring, b_temple_quarry (the Instagib option in More settings can still be ticked to be used in combination with other modes) - this mode’s name will change soon
  • In Custom Game, unticking the Instagib checkbox now works correctly (you don’t need to restart the game anymore if you wish to launch a non-instagib mode after having launched an instagib mode previously in the session)

Interface

  • In the Custom Game menu there are now options for score limit 1 and 2 - at the moment if you wish to play Brawl I recommend selecting the score limit 1 option because at the moment the score limit is determining the number of rounds played. At the moment there isn’t an option to set a Brawl frag limit
  • If you play a Custom Game with the Instagib setting turned on for now your next matches will be forced Instagib regardless of the setting. To solve this you will have to restart the game in order to launch a regular Custom Game. This will be fixed soon

HUD

  • When you grab a Powerup its type and its current cooldown is now indicated in the Dashboard with some placeholder icons at the moment (when a Powerup is dropped and you pick it up, its cooldown will start from when it was left off)
  • The Press KEY To Respawn message has been changed to Press Attack to Respawn

  • There is no longer an ability slot in the Dashboard when you grab the Diabotical or the Haste (these powerups no longer have active abilities)
  • Frags, deaths, damage taken, damage done are now shown in the final scoreboard - note that there are some issues with the damage amounts being displayed at the moment

Sounds

  • The PNCR’s shots now have different sounds depending on their charge level (how many consecutive shots have been hit before that shot is fired)

Gameplay

  • In Brawl the eggbots of the team currently in the lead now have a crown model on top of them to highlight them (the crown doesn’t have a texture yet)

  • The final scoreboard’s winner text in Brawl has been changed to only mention the winning team
  • There is now an active ability indicator on the dashboard when you’ve grabbed a powerup that has an active ability

Visual changes

  • The Haste powerup now creates a red highlighting effect on the player carrying it, which is visible by others, and a red effect on the weapon which is visible in first person by the player with the powerup (previously was orange like the Diabotical’s effect)
  • The Siphonator powerup now creates a green highlighting effect on the player carrying it, which is visible by others, and a green effect on the weapon which is visible in first person by the player with the powerup (previously was blue like the Vanguard’s effect)

  • The “following text” when spectating has been lowered to not overlap with the respawn text

Visual changes

  • The flickering textures have been fixed - maps like dt_gd_01, dt_pr_01, duel_pr_03, duel_pr_04 were affected, playing them should be a more pleasant experience now

Interface

  • The Weapon9, Minigun, Laserpen, Flak Gun (previously in the WMD category) and the Healing Weeble (previously in the Weeble category), are now Super Weapons, together with the Crossbow which remains a Super Weapon
  • The Machinegun and the Grenade Launcher are now Standard weapons
  • The Weebles with the exception of the Healing Weeble are bound to the “Ability/Weeble” bind in the Controls
  • In Controls the Weeble and WMD keybinds have been taken out and the Machinegun and Grenade Launcher keybinds have been added
  • Because of the above changes your previous Super Weapon bind changed to Machinegun, the WMD bind changed to Grenade Launcher, the Weeble bind changed to Super Weapon - check if you are ok with these binds and if not, change them to more comfortable ones

  • The Accent Box (rectangle) and Speed HUD elements are now hiding on death correctly
  • There is a new HUD element called Yaw Ruler
  • In some circumstances in non-duel modes you might see the Dashboard (Powerbar) HUD element with a Weeble recharge indicator inside of it (in Duel the Rage indicator occupies the same spot) which will indicate when a new non-healing Weeble recharges, note that this is just the indicator, the mechanic has not been implemented yet, when it’s implemented you will still always spawn with 1 Healing Weeble but what is currently an Explosion Weeble will vary on spawn and will recharge after being used
