There is two things that can delete a settlement foundation:
1. Annexation when same-level annexation is activated
2. The settlement being invalid for more than 20 minutes (new default is 60, but needs to be changed by admins) due to for example holes in the room or other issues.

Neither can be reversed once it happened.

I don't find it stated anywhere in the Ecopedia about the multiple room penalty being offset for multiple inhabitants so that might be worth adding.

I understand these changes and we'll play based on the way it's been implemented by you folks, I was just annoyed at going into a game having no idea that these numbers had changed or how they had changed. Want more documentation! Yes I'm demanding. I love numbers. I can only apologise for the way that I am ♥

Yes, I see that still needs updating, thanks for the hint.

Can you post a screenshot of the law in edit mode so we can recreate it?

You can ignore this warning, it just says that a link in the Ecopedia is not found, it has no impact.

It's possible that the country due to the new culture calculation no longer fulfills the configured minimum requirements. You can restore the pre-migration backup and before starting the server change the following in Settlements.eco:

"MinCultureToMaintainSettlement": [
0.0,
0.0,
0.0
],

This will require zero culture to maintain any type of settlement.

Hey Citizens,
we have just released Hotfix 10.1.1 to address the following issues:

  • Fixed: An issue that prevented some players to join some servers
  • Fixed: Even miniscule changes in culture triggered notifications for annexations, leading to spam
  • Fixed: The /unstuck command didn't work correctly when used while being on a boat on the ocean
  • Fixed: Vehicles that were parked on a deed were put into void storage when its owner was removed from residency of that deed

I just need to correct a misunderstanding here: Uranium is not planned to be part of any 10.X update and it would be new to me we confirmed it to be part of any update so far.

The distribution of ore into specific biomes and areas is intended - different locations on the planet are supposed to give you access to different resources, requiring a decision on where to settle and trade to gain the other resources. In singleplayer unrestricted claim papers are available with the correct settings, so multiple areas can be settled in.

We have removed the prior system in favour of a more simple, server configurable general bonus / penalty system based on the amount of residents that you can configure in Rooms.eco.

The usual penalty for multiple rooms of the same type still applies (with one room of each type being free per resident), but the housing points yielded by all rooms in a deed are now simply summed up, then divided by the amount of residents and the result then multiplied with a configurable crowding factor as configured in the server config. The result is the personal housing points of each resident.

By default the crowding factor is 1 for one and four residents, 1.2 for two and 1.15 for three residents. Starting with the fifth resident, the factor decreases by 0.1 per each additional resident until it reaches 0.3.

If you're refering to those servers not yet having been updated, you can use the already mentioned workaround to connect to them.

We're also aware of an issue that prevents some players to join some servers and are currently investigating it to provide a hotfix as soon as the issue has been identified and fixed. If you are affected by that, providing the server log, the save and the exact ingame names of affected users to [email protected] would help us.

The general locations of ores didn't change in Update 10 - only their distribution. Looking around the usual places should still provide you with the ore you seek - it's just no longer there in big chunks, but more distributed veins.

Dear Eco Citizens,
Update 10.1 is now available! We've been taking a lot of feedback from citizens on the settlement system that was newly introduced in 10.0 and applied it. It's a big system with unique mechanics that only truly play out when you have groups interacting together in their own worlds, and after 10.0 we've learned a lot from our citizens and made the following upgrades:

Homestead Support Papers

This update contains a new type of claim papers, called "Homestead Support Papers", which just like normal settlement papers will spawn in the settlement foundation based on the amount of citizens it has. The special thing about these is that they cannot be used within the influence of a settlement, but only to expand homesteads located outside.

Homestead Support Papers have no use for settlements - the intention is for these papers to ... Read more

Kicking them from the town removes their property from your jurisdiction, making you unable to expropriate them. At an executive action desk you can make a basic one-off law alike "If property owned by X, transfer property to X". (Or instead use a condition on if the property is owned by someone that is in abandoned group, for example)

Did you generate a world with default size? Until next update influence doesn't automatically adjust when you use bigger than intended world sizes. If that's the case for you, make sure to revisit the config after the update, as you may otherwise have even higher influence circles due to the multiplier from world size.
