Hello Agents,

We’ve noticed some of you reported not being able to access certain missions, such as the Capitol Hill Stronghold.
Because of this, we wanted to clarify how your agent interacts with the world when joining another players session.

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is an online multiplayer game where players complete a campaign to liberate Washington D.C. from the clutches of evil. To do this, players often – through matchmaking or through direct invites – join other players to cooperatively tack missions. When players do this, one player becomes the “host” while all other players become “guests.” Players join the host’s world, and may therefore not have access to the same missions.

When this happens, often you will see “Undiscovered Mission” listed under a mission prerequisite. You will still be able to play that mission – a group leader who has the mission unlocked may choose to “start mission” – however you will not get the... Read more

Indeed. To each their own. Thanks for the feedback here, everyone!

If you are suspicious that this player may have been cheating, please submit a Report to Ubisoft Support, and include as much information as you can including those screenshots. From there we'll take the appropriate actions.

As a side note, I appreciate that you didn't come on here hard and fast to try and make a public hackusation. Oh, and Welcome to the forums!

This conversation seems to be in a similar vein as the post-mission readout. While there are definitely some that might use the information available to be more toxic, additional information tends to lead to more benefits than drawbacks.

That said, as TimesLostArc brings up, we can definitely talk about some of the more specific pros and cons of having such data available for easy access.

For sure - synergy is ideally an addition, not a crutch or compensation (at least in this case).

Please be respectful of other's opinions and gameplay preferences, everyone. This is an insightful thread so far and I would appreciate it if we could keep it that way.

As I've mentioned on other threads talking about builds and the meta... hybrid builds (jack of all trades builds) being among the best and mostly predominant in the meta seems (to me, personally) to be the ideal jumping-off point. With this, each of the different polarized builds give and take from the core of the hybrid - ideally.

MutantCowby, with this video and discussion, has pointed out that hybrids very well may be too strong, with negligible gains for pretty serious losses if you try to specialize, or pretty consistent gains for minimal losses if you just go harder into the hybrid.

To jump off of something MutantCowboy said specifically...
A full red build should have a huge damage advantage, but they just don't. A full yellow build should be beyond any other skill users in terms of effectiveness...

Also, yes. I'll change it to "What happens next?", to quote Hamish.

Edit - if a mod could do that, that would be great.
I've changed the thread title accordingly.

That being said, what an amazing thread here, Merphee. I'm impressed :O

Obviously a lot to respond to here. Thanks for taking the time to write all this up in a (quite frankly gorgeous and) easily legible format. I imagine I'll be reading and rereading this quite a bit while making references in my notes.

Edit: The "untitled" title is deceiving. Any plans to change it?

Edit 2: For future comments, please be sure to mention or restate, at least briefly, the sections or points you agree with.
(And please, for the sake of the thread and scroll wheels everywhere, do not quote comment the entire original post.)

Thank goodness I now have a coat for when it rains!
I am glad to hear that! And thankfully, I bet that rain coat will come in handy in the future as well

I'm have moved this thread to the general section, it will have more visibility and will most likely encourage a lot of others to share their opinions (which is ofc what we want) .

I appreciate the various feedback and anecdotes here everyone. That said, please be respectful of each other's opinions and experiences regarding their time with the game. Topics as complex and nuanced as this seldom have 'right' or 'wrong' answers.

This has been asked before and it seems that we didn't clarify this well enough. Control Points at Alert Level 4 are on heroic difficulty but we were specifically talking about Missions on heroic difficulty.
