Hi @swearimabots,

This just means you won't have any content merged from the PC account as it was originally linked to a different EA account.

That will not impact Cross Progression being enabled on the account itself. Once you get the notification in-game you're fine! Standard smile Mako.png... Read more

@x_ririx21

No, in your situation these were on different EA accounts originally per your original post.

Progress from different EA accounts can never be merged regardless of whether that was linked before or after October 26th.

@PremiumBuddd

Sorry if I've misunderstood. You won't receive the content from the original EA account if you had unlinked a platform, but if you're just looking to use that platform on a new EA account without bringing over your progress, that's fine.

That should be the portion I've bolded below. Standard smile

Hi @Seesh84,

Cross Progression is rolling out in waves over time. Not everyone has had this enabled on their accounts just yet.

As long as those platforms are all linked to the same EA account, you'll be all set and just need to wait for the in-game notification telling you the accounts have been merged. Mako.png

Hi @PremiumBuddd,

No.

If you've unlinked a platform from one EA account and linked it to another, you will be able to access the content on that newer EA account with any linked platforms, but those will not bring any content from the original EA account.

Hi @shilk,

Cross Progression means you'll be able to access the content/progress on a single EA account with all the platforms connected to that same EA account.

It does not allow progress to be transferred between separate EA accounts. This has never been possible I'm afraid.

Hey folks,

If you had progress on two separate EA accounts, that cannot be merged or transferred to another EA account.

Cross Progression allows you to access the content on a single EA account with the platforms connected to that EA account, and cannot be used to transfer progress to a different EA account entirely.

If you've unlinked a platform from one EA account and linked it to another, you will be able to access the content on that newer EA account with any linked platforms, but those will not bring any content from the original EA account.

If you lost progress due to the unlink and were wanting that to be restored, you'll need to ...

Hey @shilk,

Progress is stored on the EA account where it was first unlocked, not on your individual platforms such as Xbox or Steam.

Unlinking a platform from the EA account will result in a loss of progress as outlined here and in the warning that must be accepted to proceed with an unlink.

Progress cannot be merged from one EA account to another, which is w...

Hey @dpasomnk,

To clarify, if you had progress on separate EA accounts, this was never able to be merged even before October 26th. This is not what's changing with Cross Progression.

Progress is stored on the EA account level, not individual platforms like Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, etc.

Cross Progression is allowing you to access the content on an EA account with any platform connected to that same account, not bring over progress from a different EA account.

"Note: to prevent exploitation, any secondary Apex Legends accounts created after Oct 26th for the same EA account, will not be eligible to be merged."

If your PlayStation (or any other account) was not linked to the EA account in question until after this date, it effectively didn't exist for that EA account.

This EA account did not have a PlayStation account until after Oct 26th, so this would apply.

Regarding a refund, you'll need to reach out to ...

@Dadabetes,

Correct, no content will be merged from the PlayStation account if it was connected after the 26th, though you'll be able to access the content from your connected Xbox/Steam accounts.

For reference this was first mentioned in our announcement blog below:

Hi @Dadabetes,

Yes, you'll still be able to use Cross Progression.

That cutoff date just means no content/progress would be merged from the PlayStation account as it was linked after the 26th.

In this case, you wouldn't have had the progress linked even before the 26th as it was unlinked from the EA account where the progress was first earned.

You'll still be able to use this for Cross Progression once that's activated on your account. Mako.png

Did you try reaching out to support to get them to help re-link the account as suggested in the solution post? Mako.png

Hey @Fusiada,

Progress is stored on the EA account where it was first earned, not your individual PlayStation or PC accounts.

This means that if you unlink a platform from the EA account, it will no longer have access to that content. This would be why you're not seeing any progress after unlinking both accounts and connecting them to a separate EA account.

Progress cannot be transferred between EA accounts, so the only way to restore that progress would be to re-link each platform to its original EA account.

If you're unable to go through that process to get them re-linked, you can re...

Sorry to hear you're having some trouble getting back in-game.

Hey @Zayko005,

Your progress is stored on the EA account where it was first earned, not the individual platforms (Steam, Xbox, etc.)

If you unlink a platform from one EA account to move it to another EA account, that progress stays behind on the first EA account.

This would be why your Steam account went back to level 1, so if you're wanting that progress resto...

Hey @Allergicsea70,

I'm afraid if you had played on two separate EA accounts, there wouldn't be a way to transfer progress.

Cross Progression makes your content on one EA account available to all the platforms connected to that same EA account, and is not able to merge content from other accounts entirely, sorry.

Feel free to check through the link below for more details and information about this, thanks!

Hey @IamNotFllyy,

Just to make sure I'm understanding correctly, you've linked an old Steam account to the EA account that currently has your PSN account and progress linked, correct?

If that's the case, yes, you'll be able to access the content on that EA account (which would be from your PSN account) once Cross Progression is enabled on your account.

Cross Progression is being rolled out in waves, so you'll see an in-game notification pop up once your account has been migrated. After that you'll be able to access the content on that EA account with any platform connected to the same account.
