This was an email that went out to a number of players that had previously open cases or reports.

 

The wording of this email indicating you sent a message to an email no longer being monitored is incorrect however, apologies for the confusion.

 

More specifically, a previously open case or report has been closed, and this was purely a notification with unfortunately inaccurate message text, sorry about that.

If you had unlinked an account and re-linking the same account has not restored that content, you'll need to speak with our support team so they can take a look at which links were interrupted and see if something else may have broken there as well.

We are investigating this, however as a temporary workaround it may help to switch back to DX11 if you're currently testing the DX12 version of Apex.

Thanks for the posts! This is something the team is aware of and looking into.

 

In the meantime however, if you're currently running the DX12 version of Apex please try switching back to the DX11 version or changing to a higher model detail as a temporary workaround since we're seeing this predominantly affecting players using the current DX12 beta.

 

As a reminder, if you're looking to check out the DX12 beta you can do so with the following steps, while swapping back to DX11 would just involve removing these commands.

Totally understandable, @KYSOMT.

It would be nice to have the option when dealing with these types of things so you're not feeling any obligation over something that was out of your hands in the first place.

My taste in skins is a bit off from the people I usually play with, so I'd feel bad for sure if one of them got me a skin I really had no desire to equip, 100%.

There are additional regional requirements and restrictions when gifting that would likely make an account ineligible for this.

 

If you don't live in a particular country, changing your account details to work around that is not something I would suggest so you can avoid running into any issues with the account going forward. The information on your account needs to be accurate especially in relation to purchases.

Afraid that would not be possible for us to provide via the forums, or if you've not heard back from the tournament team, sorry.

You're welcome to try reaching out via the email again, but currently the available functionality for everyone would be what's included in the Custom Lobby options at the moment.

Are you still running into this issue?

 

Please be sure you have the Steam overlay enabled as this can cause issues making in-game purchases if disabled.

 

The Steam support page here has more information regarding getting this option enabled if needed.

Hey @darumaWMA,

 

As @XHelperZ  mentioned, the Custom Lobby option is now available directly in-game, and you'll no longer need to reach out to the email from that page for approval.

 

There are minimum player requirements depending on the mode you're trying to play, but aside from those you should be able to create your own Custom Lobbies at will to play with your subscribers. Standard smile...
