In response to your query - yes, you certainly can!

To do so, all you need is do as follows:

1. Start the Ubisoft Connect Desktop App.
2. Set Ubisoft Connect into offline mode, which will then be followed by a restart.
3. Start Anno 1800 from your games library.

In relation to the crash that is followed after the black screen - do you happen to receive any error messages at all? If so, let us know what it is.

As far as troubleshooting goes, if you haven't already, try completing steps outlined in the following article, starting of by verifying your game files first, and see if issue persists.

Just as Ubi-Milky suggested, we've been experiencing technical difficulties on the server-side and there has been a temporary degradation, however this has been resolved since and servers are working as intended, therefore if issue persists, let us know and we will get back to you as soon as possible!

First and foremost, could you advise us if you're using WiFi or Ethernet connection?

There may be some limitations that are preventing you from having the best possible connection to game servers, therefore in order to eliminate these, give the following steps a go, and see whether it makes any difference.

Hey Little_Quill, thanks for reaching out and I am sorry to see what happened there in the match which you've provided a clip for.

So that we could get a better idea about this, can I ask you to clarify the following:

1. Is that first instance this happened or did it happen before too?
2. Are you aware if there are any particular steps to follow that may cause this to occur? Only reason I'm asking is because I can hear people saying that they enemy team "glitched it".
3. What time did this match take place?

After having a closer look at our server status, I can see that we've had a temporary degradation that has been affecting multiple platforms and games, including Rainbow 6 Siege, however this has been resolved since and servers are working as intended, therefore can I check if you were all able to connect to a match after the disconnection occurred?

First and foremost, please mind that we've been experiencing connectivity issues around the time of your contact, which may have caused some interruptions in the service, however this has been resolved since.

If you are continuing to experience the problem, this does sound to be related to NAT, therefore have a look at the following article, try steps suggested including opening NAT and see whether issue persists.
