If you have a strict NAT then this could well be the cause of your connection issues. If you're having difficulty with setting up port forwarding to correct this your ISP(if they provided you with your router) or the router manufacturer if it was purchased separately should be able to offer exact steps to set this up. Then all you require from us is the ports specified in the connectivity troubleshooting FAQ in order to proceed.
