Keep in mind that by the time A21 is released, you’ll have the opportunity via the betas tab to set your game to e.g. stay on A20 if you prefer. Abandoning your ongoing saved game to play the new build is a choice.

There was an issue with one of the weather values not syncing across the network, which was fixed several months ago (a21).

There is. Same ray accuracy type used with bullets, and they have a drop based on weight and velocity.

Once you learn to adjust for it, the bow/crossbow is nearly as accurate as a rifle. Combined with sneaking boosts, you can 1-shot all but a few entities.

Dang. Where was that in the loading screen hints?? Had no idea, that's a game changer. I'll checl it out myself in a while but does it have a lot of options for textures?
Every texture you've seen on a block shape in the game world is available iirc.

Yeah, Except for a terrible cook you get something burnt and inedible...or not cooked that is basically still just a potato.

Further, The knowledge to "throw it on a grill and cook it" is knowledge from someone who knows how to/that they can make a baked potato in the first place

To a non cook, it sounds more like this: "You can cook a potato? What? I've been eating them this way(raw) my whole life!" ...

Once at the trader at day one, once around week 3 and once after i refreshed the trader over 100 Times.

I never used the magnum all that time because i had the T3 44er much earlyer, same about the lever rifle, I allways end up with the mining, Harvesting and trading skills. And its still a joke that i can build automatic turrets but i cant bake a potatoe.

Later i jump like superman on roofs and onehit nearly everything, not that this would be necessary since zombies need 20 Hits to kill me.

Anyway, i am busy to fix this with a mod, what is not really easy because of too much depencies....

Yeah, it stands out how the rivers are all the same ‘stamp,’ just with translation/rotation/scaling for variety. I’ve been able to massage the libnoise algorithms to make interesting, meandering rivers, but that was several alphas ago. I suspect they’ll always look a little off, since the water’s all at the same height instead of actually flowing downhill.

As for intelligent character design versus random chance, remember they’re literally stacking the deck in your favor.
Perks slightly affect the probability of finding like-themed magazines and parts for those recipes. Perk into shotguns and you will notice more shotgun magazines and shotgun parts appearing in the world. It isn't a significant bonus but it does prevent the player from being screwed over.

We’ll have to see whether this cheapens the looting experience. But the fact they’re adding such a system, and can tweak it to be more or less impactful, suggests... Read more

Don't knock it until you've tried it. Most of the hate is misdirected because of lack of information and filling in the blanks with guesses.

I miss rivers! I miss the roads and the bridges. They used to be scenic and now they're just made of gimcrack and sadness. A short stream, that S curves and does nothing. A disappointed character, who can literally see at a glance that the river came from nowhere, goes no where. It's not merely that the river lacks any point. It's that it's existence is inexplicable.
This is a known issue with the current RWG, ... Read more

The random world generator (used to make the pregen maps) doesn’t pack every possible plot with a building - there are some ‘empty lots’ too.

It depends on how valuable the raw ingredients are to you, I’d say.

If you’re a serious miner, you can likely come up with whatever quantity of lead, nitrate, and coal you need. That just leaves brass to make ammunition, which is designed to be the bigger bottleneck. Putting more bullet tips or gunpowder into each round means using proportionally less brass, which in the long run should line up better with the inflow of resources. Not that brass is hard to acquire either, but mining the other ingredients is really straightforward.

No epic account is needed. But the game does connect to Epic Online Services for multiplayer stuff, and generates a unique token when doing so; Failure to get this token would likely result in the error you're seeing.

If at any point in the past you ever blanket blocked all EOS/EAC/Epic services because you hate Epic and all they stand for and refuse to let them have any access to your computer; Having done so would make it so the client can't reach EOS, and would cause problems.

There may be other causes for it too, but I'm not personally aware of any.

As far as fixes go, If you don't care about multiplayer, there is a fix of sorts that may help you. In the main game folder "...\steamapps\common\7 Days To Die", there's a file named "platform.cfg"; edit this file and on the second line remove the "EOS" that follows the equals sign.

Should end up looking like this:
platform=Steam
crossplatform=
serverplatforms=Steam,XBL,

This won't ruin my getting steam achievements?
For the most part it will not. Using CM or DM will invalidate earning them during that playthrough, but it usually isn't permanent for the save.

Generally, you can move from Minor versions (A20.1->A20.2) with no problems. But moving from Major version to Major version (A20.x->A21.x) isn't possible, the game prevents you from loading the save because the differences between versions is too big, and most likely result of loading it would be corruption.

There's some sort-of workarounds people in the community have come up with, but, for the most part, Even the workarounds have a big host of problems that often make it more trouble than it's worth.

RIP :< Live n learn.

If you'd like to give back the lost material, press F1 to open the console, type "CM" and enter that command, Press F1 again to close the console then press the U key to open the creative menu. Use this menu to give yourself back the approximate amount of lost material and some wood to smelt it into the forge at it's new location.

Then just repeat the initial steps to disable creative mode again. If you care about achievement progress, after disabling creative mode exit to menu and reload the save- Progress is only toggled off for the session in which creative mode is used; Not permanently.

In any case, Game on n have a good day. :winter2019happyyul:

Not to mention, honestly this sounds like it involves more or less constantly travelling for hours/days at a time while running away from combat and never building. Which, pardon my bluntness, sounds boring, for lack of a gentler word.
