You're likely misunderstanding/not noticing the relation between food and the meters they fill.

The numbers on the left side above your health/stamina bars are your erh... 'Digesting' values; They're 1:1 with whatever you just ate and go down roughly 1 per second. eat something worth 50 hunger and 50 thirst, you'll get two values that start at 50 and tick down to 0.

These values fill your hunger/thirst meters with each tick down IF there is space to do so in the bar. You can see the hunger and thirst bars under the hot bar in green and blue, or view the hard values in your character menu.

So you've been overeating/overdrinking trying to keep the numbers on the left up when those are just consumed to fill the actual meters.

Nope, still need to craft/buy a mod to put into it.
IIRC, Unless it changed in A21 specifically, If you FIND a mining helmet, it should have a light mod pre-installed. Kinda hard to test and verify on the fly though, or I would.

But crafted ones for sure will not come with the light; You need to add it yourself.... Read more

This. As an additional note, this change precedes A21.. Think it's been this way since A17?

100%.

We play our own game. We see things we like or don't like and adjust accordingly based on a general group consensus and priority/difficulty/time. My daughter and I played last night and I experienced a few things that annoyed me and I bailed, so today I ranted and we had some discussions, changes were started, I'm tweaking AI attack range stuff and we are planning a few more things. That is how it works. People on the team have ideas and we figure it out.

Additionally, if we see half the players having a bad time with something, we try to improve it, but in a way that makes sense to us and is fun to us. We can tell what percent of people like or dislike something regardless of how loud a percent is yelling. Some people should just wait for stable, as it seems the stress of us dialing it in is just too much anxiety and not fun for them.

There was an either or but no inbetween cause eventually youd have to skill in that very perk that the book unlocks crafting for anyways.

In turn this system is more intuitive but is far more grindy. Numbers need to be punched down to m...

Try putting loot to 50%. It really slows down the progression and makes early game thirst survival a lot more challenging. A21 50% loot is a totally different experience than A20 50% loot.

I think they will be adding helps and tutorials for these things as we get closer to gold. It is true when you think about it that the only reason we know about the dew collector is by following the development. Someone brand new wouldn't know and nothing in the game really guides them to making it even though it is the very first workstation in that tree. Whether they add water to the searchable name or do some kind of quest or dialogue that directs them to make their first dew collector, I agree that at some point they need to have something to help new players get to it.

Many months? The alpha literally just came out yesterday! Do Steam mods get dev builds or something?

This one did.

Yeah sure😅

Yes. Sure.

Star Citizen 2011 - still going
7 Days to Die 2013 - still going

These are verifiable facts.

No, the water is in jars. Just like the gasoline is in gas cans and acid is in acid jugs and stew is in bowls and candy is in wrappers. It is simply not represented anywhere but in your inventory. It is an abstraction. But you definitely should still continue to assume that there are jars.

You can imagine that after you drink you put the empty jar in a special slot of your backpack and it waits there until you find some murky water in a toilet and then you pull out the jar and fill it up and it shows up in your regular inventory full of murky water. Or when you remove water from your dew collector you are pulling out your empty jar and filling it with drinkable blue water.

There are just no animations for those actions. They happen "off camera". Its the same exact way you have been playing with gasoline and acid and stew and anything else that comes in a package which, after you use it, you don't see the empty packaging any longer.

Given that you collide with things a lot.. Are you sure it's not just at 0 durability? When it's at 0, you can't get on; You have to interact via the radial menu to repair it first.

Do the math. Star Citizen started development at a minimum of two years before 7 Days.

Opting into the unstable experimental build is for bug testing.

In a couple of days when a new update comes out, you are expected to wipe and start a new save.

If you don't, you are likely going to have bugs and save corruption.

This will be the case until the build goes stable. Because otherwise you are not able to properly report bugs.

Once Stable releases, you can start a new save, and it will be good until probably a22, but that isn't guaranteed. Changes in a21.2 may require a reset. It's happened before.

And that is basically how things work in Alpha development. Steam misuses the Beta terminology.

You have to find cooking magazines to learn cooking recipes. Perks don't give recipes. Instead they reduce cooking time and ingredients.

Either an LCB or a bedroll will prevent the POI from being selected. If for some reason it does get selected when you try to activate the quest marker you'll get a message that it can't be activated because a bedroll or LCB is inside.

You can try it out and check things out without having to work by reporting bugs. That said, the goal of the developers is to get A21 stable within 2-3 weeks. It all depends on what sorts of bugs come crawling out while everyone plays.
