Well, yeah. It's not reasonable to expect a club (no matter how nice it is) to have the dps of a machine gun.

I don't remember any major change.

The whole premise of your balancing approach is that every weapon, seen in isolation, must be "equal" to any other weapon.

That would be fine for a mod but is not what we're doing here. The intellect attribute is a bit more complex than club-on-head.

And yes, that includes figuring out when a situation warrants using a weapon other than the stun baton.

A14 was the introduction of UMA, and as a result the numbers of zeds in the wild were greatly reduced to reduce the heavy performance impact. Maybe a13 would be better. :steamhappy:

Edit: sounds like Alpha 13 is the better bet. Thanks, Sylen.

I can't speak for the place where you live but usually you don't see a noticeable percentage of the population going around as clowns.

Nope. There's more brass around the world, but there's no ore to mine and smelt brass from. Nor will there ever be in the vanilla game; So if you want that, you'll have to mod it in.

Here’s a design-centric answer. The buildings are where the loot is, and zombies are intended to be the primary antagonists in the game. Ergo zombies are put in buildings, so that areas of high reward are also areas of high risk.

Yes, a whole story is planned. Probably mostly assembled even. It's just waiting on key elements to be added to the game still for it to function.

It will most likely still be open-ended sandbox after the story is completed though.

Not likely. It may be even worse this time around with the huge amount of new blocks and all the RWG changes. Fixes to those types of features during experimental will often require restarts.

I consider any tech Unity makes available in the engine, but that new feature, like DLSS support will probably need HDRP, which we are not upgrading to.

Probably because eventually someone might notice and edit the sound data.

After 19.5.

I do like to use my old vehicles to shuttle myself around my day-to-day base, horde base, mine(s), garden, and the nearest trader. I try to have these all close to each other, but something’s always a little farther away.
But why would you use those instead of your newest, best vehicle?

A: Clay soil is the only item you’ll find. It smelts into clay when you put it in the forge. Dirt and clay are basically one and the same in this game.

Alpha 20 will have mods for vehicles. I hear you that you liked swapping in better parts, but for better or worse this will then be consistent with the same transition for weapons: from an assemble-from-parts system to an enhance-with-mods system.

Impact sounds are also applied shot by shot. And they're implemented as unique t...

It's just a balance thing. Also, you can't hear them when you are using it, so it creates suspense as part of the balance also. If you go into sneak mode, i...
