This is standard fair when playing with mods on a game that is still in development.

Technically you have a third option: you can scrap old vehicles. But they all scrap to iron, so the rate of return is terrible.

I do like to use my old vehicles to shuttle myself around my day-to-day base, horde base, mine(s), garden, and the nearest trader. I try to have these all close to each other, but something’s always a little farther away.

My reaction to the current injury system is to recognize that many wounds take time to heal, and take it slow so I don't suffer compounding injuries. If you keep getting attacked and die by the cumulative effect, you're probably trying to keep fighting after the first injury instead of backing off.

Go back to your base or trader for a bit and tend to some less dangerous tasks. You can work a forge, cement mixer, chemistry station etc. all day without worsening a broken arm or leg. If you're in the middle of a quest, go stealthy and/or ranged for a while. Quests don't have time limits after all. If it's horde night, yeah you may hosed this time, but for next time you can build your base to better keep the zombies at bay.

As for wasting much of an item's healing power, yeah that's true. One thing you can do is invest in Healing Factor, the passive healing skill. It will boost your HP slowly over time, but it somewhat keeps pace with your max HP that'... Read more

RapFa makes a good point. Most of us are used to having the first Blood Moon on day 7, and it's often not very challenging for experienced players. But you're having one on day 4, so you've had even less time to level up and increase your days survived, which is what raises your gamestage that scales up the horde's difficulty. I would give it a couple in-game weeks and see how it's scaling up before making changes.

But if you do end up wanting to make changes, I would suggest zombie block damage as one way to make it harder without increasing the time to kill each zombie.

Exactly. If they at least made the dirt blocks really cheap then you could replace them but last I looked they are really expensive. I'm not grinding to fix the ground every day. I simply stopped going underground all together unless I'm mining and then I just do what I got to do and get out of there before zombies start tearing ...

If you describe the overall shape you want to make in detail, not worrying about the blocks for a moment, we can probably come up with a way to create it or a reasonable approximation.

There are ambient sounds, and I can think of one that plays at night that could be interpreted as a faraway voice. Some people like ‘em, some people hate ‘em.

Because the current stable is always the default. You only choose a version if you want something that is not the current stable.

It's not an issue. It's how voxel cubes work. Learn to use the block shapes you have access to appropriately build ramps and bases.

From the FAQ:

Q3: Why do I only find low quality/primitive loot everywhere? Isn’t there some better stuff out there?
A: Loot is now segregated into tiers, and what tiers you can find is gated by your game stage. As you play, your game stage will increase and you can start finding new, better items in loot. In the future, things like what biome you’re in may boost your game stage and thus your ‘loot stage’ beyond normal.

I swear we just had this thread like a week ago.

It's not likely to happen.

Artists often preview/render/show a model with an environment map around it so the reflective surfaces have something to reflect.

A20 is currently on Unity 2020.3.1. I'm currently on 2020.3.10 for testing. A20 will probably end up on a slightly newer version than that.

None of that means DX12 or Vulkan will be working great. Unity may have fixed issues, but there can easily be more. In the Unity editor, on the version I am testing, DX12 started to have a huge drop of 40 FPS, so I went back to DX11 and it was fine. There is a reason they still have DX12 marked as Experimental.

Because A19.5 stable isn't a beta...It's the current stable. Opt out of all betas to access the current stable.

I'm no expert on Windows hardware, but speaking generally yes, it will be less taxing to set up a dedicated server rather than trying to effectively run a server and client on the same machine. Without knowing the specs on your extra computer, I'd say it's worth trying.

Incidentally, there's a harder limit on total zombies at once, which I believe will override your 64 per person setting.
