The language barrier is a challenge here, but I’ll do my best to answer. There are a few reasons why zombies and animals may spawn all around you while you are trying to mine.

One way is the screamer. When you mine, a screamer zombie can be attracted to investigate the activity (cumulative noise, heat, etc.) you’re making. If the screamer sees you, she will scream, which spawns enemies. If you don’t kill the screamer, she could scream over and over again, calling endless enemies.

Another way is the biome you’re in. Enemies respawn more quickly in some biomes than others. In particular, if you are in the wasteland biome at night, there is no delay before another enemy will spawn. So if you are not being stealthy and the zombies around you can detect you all the time, then you will have enemies attacking you constantly. They won’t stop coming until you hide, run away, or reach morning.

Neither of these behaviors is a bug.

I can’t figure out what ... Read more

Less RAM has been the biggest issue, especially on XBox Series S. We have reduced memory usage of many different systems. Art is now getting optimization attention to use less memory.

This time around, the console version is sharing the same project files as PC/Mac/Linux, so it is all the same, except for occasional checks in code for required differences. A good example is file system access. PS5 and XBox each have different systems and rules to read/write files than PC/Mac/Linux.

The gyrocopter has a new model with a passenger seat that I will be replacing the old model with, when I get to it. It will still fly the same, as it is a gryocopter, not helicopter. If we add a helicopter some day, that would fly like a helicopter.

The most likely explanation is that your crops were too heavy. When crops grow, they gain weight. If you plant crops above the ground level, then your base’s support needs to be strong enough from a structural integrity standpoint to accommodate that growth.

The game started as a (not literal, figurative) CRPG but now turned into an ARPG that is not bad, but if you bought the game because you liked its CRPG aspects and wanted it to developed further as an CRPG, you kind of screwed. But at the same time is not a "bad" game... its just something different now...
I had to look this up, even being familiar with some of the various RPG types.

CRPG = Computer Role Playing Games

1. Not a vozel game. Not even FPS. It's top-down. We've already had this discussion and buried it.

2. Also not a voxel game. Static maps even.

You might want to do some research into what voxels are, and what the difference is.
Even voxe... Read more

We should have giants

Many, plus many console programmers, but we all have our areas we work in. We lost two successive programmers working on player body/outfits/equipment, leaving Lathan and I to finish it. We have a new graphics programmer doing skin/hair shaders and mesh work and other gfx tech, but that is a different area.

Every couple months apparently.

But, seriously, I don't know when the newest Alpha will release other than definitely this year sometime. They are going to PAX-East on March 21st where convention goers will be able to play both 7 Days to Die A22 on console as wells as a demo of the new Bloodmoons game. So it sounds to me like they are close. But I also know they want the console launch to be as perfect as possible so that is likely going to lengthen the polishing phase for A22. There are just too many variables to be able to guess. Based on history? It will take longer than anyone likes.

If I remember correctly there was a short time when wood blocks floated on water and so you could build a "raft" or more precisely a platform on the water. But there was never a water craft type of raft that could transport you over the water. If you played with one then it had to have been a mod.

I suppose this means we aren't likely to see an Alpha 21.3 release?

It's possible. If they find some fixes and optimizations that work with A21 without breaking anything they could do it. You are correct though that It isn't very likely.

I'm with you on loving the game, reskinning stuff, renumbering blocks, and reworking skills. But you lost me on the every couple months... ;-)

There is a toggle in the options menu called feral sense. You can set it to day, night, or all. WIth feral sense activated you often get zombies from the area entering the POI you are exploring. If you want that experience more often turn on feral sense.

That is definitely not what I have experienced. Quest is complete, told to return to the trader and an army (or a random zombie) shows up. Head out and there are holes where doors used to be from the outside.

Now, we play with Feral sense a...

When you play not the first dozen (and some people a hundred) games, it only makes you angry. And only four skill points for it, not enough. It is better to remove it altogether, add to the options to possibly Disable Training.
You already have this option. Just go into your quests and cancel it.

What happened to a quick A22 was what often happens to an alpha. A single large feature ends up taking a long time. The new player models, shaders, hair, animations and outfits was a big undertaking and has caused a lot of bugs. We have had two major programming issues and now the game play programming portions of it are left to Lathan and I to finish. I am currently fixing helmet lights that got screwed up by how equipment objects are built vs events being fired. Player hand/feet IK is broken on vehicles due to using a new Unity IK system, which I need to port our code over to. We have a ways to go.

Burnt forest was never removed. The biome was removed from RWG and adding it back only took a few hours and that includes code cleanup, so there is that benefit too.
