We've received multiple reports about this problem and our dedicated team is actively investigating and diligently working on a resolution with Valve. Please be aware that, at this stage, we cannot confirm if any future fix will be retroactive.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused during this period. We understand how frustrating it can be to not receive the experience points you've earned through your efforts. Rest assured, we are committed to resolving this issue as swiftly as possible.

Some players recently reported that unhiding their game on Steam resolved the issue, to do this please open Steam and go to Hell Let Loose in your Steam library. On the main page where it says 'Play', on the right side there is a settings cog button, please press this and go to Manage - unhide this game.

We're sorry to hear you're having these issues.

The team is currently looking into the issue with the settings being reset, some players have reported however that the following steps helped:

Make sure that your settings file is not set to read-only.

You can find it in :
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\HLL\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\

Left-click to highlight, then Right-click the gameusersettings file - properties - make sure read-only is not ticked.

Can you please share with us a screenshot of the fatal error you receive?

To take a screenshot, please make sure, that you have Steam Overlay enabled in your game

Hi Dusty,

We're sorry to hear you're having this issue with your DLC purchase.

Can you please right-click the game - go to properties - DLC tab - check that all of the DLC is ticked.

If they are already, when you load the game can you please go to the barracks - check whether the DLC is showing there in each country. Some DLC is locked until you reach a certain level such as Level 7 medic for example.

So that we can better understand the problem and recommend a solution, we would like to request that you please send us your DxDiag information via the steps below: 
  1. Hold down the Windows Key and press R 
  2. The Run dialog should appear. Type dxdiag in the available text field. 
  3. Click OK 
  4. Click Save All Information 
  5. Set the Save as type to Text File (*.txt) 
  6. Save the file DxDiag.txt to your Desktop so it is easy to find.

Can you please send us a screenshot of the error that you receive so we can help further?

To take a screenshot, please make sure, that you have Steam Overlay enabled in your game
  1. Go to Steam -> Settings.
  2. Click the In-Game tab.
  3. Check "Enable Steam Overlay while in-game"
  4. Go to Library.
  5. Right-click on the game title and select Properties.
  6. Under the General tab also make sure "Enable Steam Overlay while in-game" is checked.
In the game, press F12 to take a screenshot. Then press Shift+Tab to bring up the Steam overlay, and Upload your screenshot, make it public. Then simply include the URL of your screenshot on the forum (it should look something like "http...sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=...")
