Hey! Sorry to read those traits aren't working for you.

I've not yet seen other reports of the traits not working, so I'm wondering if this is in fact a bug.

Are you perhaps able to provide a video or images to show the traits aren't working?

Hello! I'm sorry for the inconvenience, this is an unanticipated issue that occurred when we transitioned to Ubisoft Connect.

Please bear with us, our team is working on fixing this. There should be no need to redeem the same reward twice.

Apologies for the inconvenience, this is an issue we are aware of.

We have found that this is a visual issue only. You will receive your renown however you may not realise it until after a game restart.

Hello again, I'm sorry we were unable to get back to you sooner.

Task Manager's Startup section will also work, however I don't believe it gives you as much control as MsConfig, so some things may still be running.

We have no refund system for in-game purchases however we always do our best to be as fair as possible, and we'd look into that for you. This would need to be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

Re-installing the game likely won't resolve your issue, as this is occurs when your save file is corrupt. Also due to the file corruption, it is not possible to revert your settings back to what they were, they would need to be manually adjusted.

You will know the steps have been followed correctly because you will be asked which save to use when you next launch the game. If the issue reoccurs after this step, there is likely some software installed causing the corruption.
