It can apply medical supplies to you, offer a light source, have a fairly sizable inventory to stow loot in, and a couple other things.
Originally posted by Kean: Thanks for all the replies the reason i asked do any of these recommendation change because certain weapons i feel are really gimicky such the stun baton or fists require consumables to be truly viable. while I tried spears mutliple times i find they are by far the weakest weapon in terms of status effects the apply to zombies or any sort of crowd control or anything in fact i found spears to have no redeming qualities other than improved range. i would consider gimmicky weapons not viable for insane due to constant demmand of external resources this is obviously excluding ammo need for ranged but im mainly talking about meeleFist's aren't particularly gimicky. They don't Require use of external buffs,... Read more

That and the fact players ignore how full their inventory is, so broken glass could fall into the tool belt slot.I'm more amazed that people have empty space in their hot bar. Mines perpetually full of everything I need.
Annnd people just don't pay attention anymore.

I don't even know if that's something they would be planning.This. The closest thing to a companion NPC that travels around with us is likely going to be the robotic drone which is already in the game.

Hello everyone!
Today we give you 20.5 stable with fixes for crashes and also a fix for the drone that caused issues in MP.
We are aware of the following regarding this build:
We are seeing reports of the Discord overlay potentially crashing the game, please read here. Please scroll to "Overlay Issues".

Party voice currently not supported on Linux, waiting for a fix by EOS.
If you are not on macOS Monterey and you crash, you can try starting the game without EAC or run the game's 7dLauncher.exe directly from the game folder. If you can play then, great, but please help us by reporting the crash following the link ...

If I try to use the -UserDataFolder= option with a double quoted path I get a few errors and then an endless string of NullReferenceException messages.
Example: If my shortcut is
"E:\MoreSteamGames_II\steamapps\common\7 Days To Die\7DaysToDie_EAC.exe" -UserDataFolder="E:\7D2D\Saves\a20x-test" -logfile E:\7D2D\output_log.txt -force-d3d11 -usenativeinput -nogs

Workshop support isn't a magic cureall, It just solves user inability to put a file in a specific location, and in return, takes away any version control from the user, and has very few options for version sorting- Meaning if you put in workshop support early in development, after a version change or three, suddenly 90% of the workshop is worthless to a game played in the current version, and just cause all kinds of problems for users who then have to try and figure out what will and wont work for the current version.
