I've used that slider in my own games. Only regret not putting more choices for values. I'd prefer 5 or 10 % increments for many of our options. Someday.

This is very subjective. I would fully expect some people to hate it, since you can always find someone who hates anything. Looks cool to me, but I have not seen one in person, so can't say 100% that it is great.

Yes, I agree. Fight outside, they all come to you, just be ready.

I'm just saying the Tower Defense style of AI isn'...

No matter what the AI does, in the end it will be predictable. If they only go for the player, if they ignore the player and attack the structure, if it's 50/50, if it's 30/70- If it only goes for your LCB.. It doesn't matter. In the end, the AI is going to do a specific set of actions in a specific predictable manner. It might take more or less time to figure out the trick; But there is ALWAYS a trick. There is no game with AI so fantastical that you can't predict what it will do once you have enough experience.

To add onto this, There is no reasonable way in a fully destructible fully buildable world for the AI to have any target but the player. If they're supposed to target player built constructions, the player will just build a concrete cube to attract the zombies, while they themselves are across the street in a normal POI, shooting at the zombies from there. You can't have them target something like an LCB instead, as the player would just refuse to put one down.... Read more

1: You can find or buy better tools completely irregardless of whether or not you have the Miner 69er perk. Yes, It can give you them faster, and yes it bolsters damage; But it's not necessity. It's a choice driven by impatience.
2: Likewise to the above, A choice driven by impatience. You can absolutely harvest enough without motherload to succeed- Mother lode at max rank is 100% increase. So, spend 2x as long and you'll reach the same quantity.
3: You can find recipes for all the food- It's a choice to want to be able to cook your own food instead of scrounging around while looting or buying it at the trader.

And in all three cases, you can buy a rank in the skill without any additional points in strength; with the cooking one teaching you basic recipes and teas which is more than enough. I've never put more than a single point in the cooking skill. Meanwhile, Miner 69er and mother lode both have a significantly lower cost to entry than any other skill, ... Read more

UPS are the worst possible purchase ever, at least for home use. Better to invest in the protection of the main electrical panel, where you can get multiple safety devices and voltage correction filters at better prices than any similar quality UPS. Without considering the fact that in the worst case scenario, as mentioned by a user, you will have secured not only your PC, but also all the appliances you have in your home. The fact is that if there is no energy anyway, there is nothing to monitor. And as rare as these events are, who among you has never had any? :)

If it's as pronounced as you say, that's a huge design...

The game is constantly saving to disk as you play; every step you take, every block you damage or break, every item you pick up, every minute that passes by. That very nature is exactly why a sudden power outage will shatter the save file- There's a reason every game under the sun warns you not to power off the system or close the game while the save icon is present on the screen. Interrupting the save causes save fragmentation/corruption; As now only a part of the changes are written to disk when it needs all of them to have a functioning save.

So, what we don't need is auto-save; It already autosaves, constantly. What it lacks is a working backup system. A big problem there though is that unlike most other games where save files are measured in 50-100kb, or maybe 5-25mb at most, values that can be, practically speaking, instantly saved with little impact on performance, 7dtd saves start at 250+mb and grow from there to in excess of 1gb and more depending on how ... It's pretty neat that people will have a chance to explore this new feature in Alpha 19, instead of waiting for Alpha 20 when it'd be overshadowed by other features.

Of course it's silly because it's not based on anything that is happening with the game.

People say silly things all the time. No one gets hurt. You shrug and move on.
