Just to clarify something here, GENERATING a brand new world takes quite a while. LOADING a previously generated world is considerably faster. As suggested, If you're impatient you might try one of the three pregen worlds, or the handcrafted Navezgane map.

Major update (A18.x->A19.x) will always require a restart
Minor update (A19.2->A19.3) typically doesn't require a restart- And if a restart is necessitated, it will be indicated in thepatch notes.

Console sold great with ugly UMA presets and zero customization. If we have a similar amount of heads it should be just fine. The CPU savings deleting all those bones/morphs/bloat data wouldn't hurt either. Anyhow this is months out as we've pushed new characters to A21 so even I don't have an answer as to what we're actually doing.

I haven't heard anything but the rwg new rivers look promising. I wouldn't expect much from water only that it won't be buggy af anymore and will be optimized. There won't be awesome waterfalls or anything too fancy.

No because it's fine how it is and t

This is a known issue in some scenarios where the trader can fall through the floor and/or the world. There is a mechanic that will respawn the trader back in its original spot if he/she moves too far away (e.g. falls through the world).

The only way we have been able drop the trader through the floor is by using debug mode > god mode.

If you would like a workaround/fix so you can at least continue your save game, you can delete the region file where the trader in question is located.

*IMPORTANT NOTE* Before deleting any files, make a backup of your save game prior just in case something unexpected occurs. (e.g. file corruption)

Your save game region files are saved in a similar file location as the below file path.

C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie\Saves\Navezgane\\Region
In order to determine which region file to delete, follow the steps below.

1) Travel to the Trader POI in question
2) Press F1 key to open co... Read more

The best reason for fighting anything is not dying. Granted our death penalty is not that bad, but maybe someday.

The effect is not eye adaptation, which is a post processing screen effect. It is not about your eyes adjusting. It is about going into a dark house and it being dark. Ambient light from outside should not be brightening up a dark basement or mine shaft, so ambient is decreased when you go indoors. The old block darkening was buggy and slow, so it was disabled and replaced with the current system, which may or may not be what is in gold.

Did you perchance select Alpha 9.3 instead of none on the beta's options?

It's been just over 7 years now; Late july 2013, iirc.

I would say it’s the best option available for players now, with the caveats that it’s an unofficial third party tool and it’s only for Windows.

Same as Vortex, or any of the other similar programs. At a guess about a third of the people who try to use them find them too complex to be able to use properly. The forum, Reddit, and Discords are littered with help requests from people who simply cannot read and follow simple instructions, so they go asking for help to have people basically tell them the exact same thing in the instructions.

I mean, we're talking about people who don't have enough experience with a computer to be able to drag and drop a folder into another folder without screwing it up. So they need a 3rd-party program to do it for ... Read more

Hmm, that’s a good idea. It’s definitely been easier to dismiss bug reports after TFP put the version number in the upper right corner.

OP, you’re reacting as if engaging the dire wolf is the only option. It’s not. It’s totally normal in survival, horror, and RPG genres to have a phase where the player is outmatched by certain enemies, and avoiding confrontation is important. You shouldn’t expect to feel fearless on day 6.

Yes, it does; The text in the individual levels doesn't mention it because the main skill does. Crossbows are still bows.
