As my colleague Ubi-Nacho explained, the issue is currently being investigated and the only option at this time is to load a previous save before you started the quest, however I understand that it is not possible for you to do this.

@peixeswordfish I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with the game closing or crashing.
Another player who reported an issue with the game crashing explained that they resolved the issue by deleting two cache folders in the 'Documents/Assassin's Creed Valhalla' folder, but they did not delete the .ini file. Can you try this and confirm if that resolves the issue for you.

After loading this save, do you have both 'The ritual of the Beserker' and 'Vengeance of the Beserker' in the quest log? Or has the save regressed your progress and now you only have Vengeance?

It appears that the Basim fight can only be progressed by using a stun attack. A stun attack can be used after successfully landing a handful of heavy attacks (You'll be prompted when the stun attack is ready). At this moment I'm unaware of any other workarounds for this particular fight.
