The design intent for Endurance was for it to kick in as your character reaches low health levels. Defenses such as Resistance and Armor protect you regardless of what proportion of your health is missing - we want Endurance to have its own niche rather than being similar to other, existing options which would result in there always being a mathematically ‘correct’ choice.

  • Fixed a bug where Arena layouts were not properly selected at random. This caused the Desert Arena and Solarum Arena to be more common than the others.

Endurance

Aims

  • Bring Endurance more in line with other defenses, by making it more difficult for endurance threshold to be close to or exceed your maximum health, which would overcome its balancing factor.
  • Reduce how much the effectiveness of Endurance varies with maximum health.

Changes

  • All characters now have endurance threshold equal to 20% of their maximum health (from 40 + 2 per character level).
  • Reduced the value of endurance threshold affixes (by up to 30% at higher tiers).
  • Root Shields grant 45 to 70 endurance threshold (from 70 to 100).

  • Added a sound variant for Warcry Totem (no more Primalist yells from totems).
  • Added or updated environmental sounds for all Arena layouts.

No, that’s not what it does. If you have 3 unspent skill points in swipe and you unequip an item which grants +1 swipe then you will now have 2 unspent skill points in swipe. It simply takes from the unspent first. If you don’t have enough in your unspent, only then will it auto select a node to remove points from.

Bug Fixes

Skills

  • Fixed a bug where sources of increased area for Rogue skills from sources outside of their own skill trees were granting more area instead (multiplicative with increased area from skill trees). This affected the following skills: Acid Flask, Cinder Strike, Detonating Arrow, Shadow Strike, Hail of Arrows.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented all “increased fear duration” nodes from working.
  • Clarified and fixed Acid Flask’s Amatoxic Pools node and Puncture’s Efficacious Toxin node, stating that Efficacious Toxins causes enemies to take increased damage.
  • Fixed Acid Flask’s Castigate node proccing whenever damage was taken, rather than just when hit (this was a minor bug as the effect had a cooldown).
  • Fixed a bug causing several nodes on the Avalanche skill tree to not work.

  • Empowering a Timeline now has additional effects;

Starting in Patch 0.8.1, your characters will show their currently equipped gear when clicked on in the character selection screen! We’ll be releasing Patch 0.8.1 later this month.
