Hi YannDabutcher! I am sorry to hear you are having trouble talking to Manny. This issue has been reported to the TD2 team. For reference, were you playing in a co-op session? Did you skip any cutscenes? Have you tried logging out and logging back in? That helped my friend who encountered a similar issue.

This does not appear to affect all players, only those who died, or the NPC died.

Thank you for your video and explanation; the video especially is extremely helpful!

I have reported this to our dev team for them to investigate. I believe the fact that you died before clearing the area may be the key fact here, that may be the reason.

I don't have a workaround for you at this time, but we will look into it for you!
