It may seem like that, but A17 took 1.5 years and A20 was about 1.4 years.

Thoughts of going gold with various dates have happened many times before. No one knows when that will happen.

A21 gets closer every day.

No bandits in A21, as Steve and I are the ones working on bandits from the programming side, and we are working on bugs and other improvements until A21 is stable.

Sorry, but I don't know of any plans to change it.

Navezgane is 6k, and is pretty much all that is needed for a single player. I feel like 4k is too small.

Personal speculation not an official statement, I think it'll be done in 1-2.5~ years, give or take.

TFP are working on fulfilling the promises made, It's taking them longer than some would like- And some people disagree about whether certain changes are 'good' or 'bad'; But at the end of the day, They Are moving towards release, and demonstrably so if you compare against the kickstarter list of features.

At the end of the day- Are you enjoying the game? If yes, it was a good investment- You had fun. When you buy an EA title, that is exactly what you should be looking for- Is it fun now, not will it be fun in the future.

I'm amazed you got so many Q6 batteries in such a short time at first, but that's just how it's gonna be- RNG is gonna RNG. 50 cars is a fairly low sample size, just keep harvesting, you'll find more eventually.

A21 for me. :D Not out yet, but it's looking like I'm really going to enjoy it. Generally speaking I strongly favor whatever the latest version is- I've had some nitpicks with each version, but overall I've loved the game more and more with each version despite those nitpicks. So, A21 would be my favorite- Or A20.x(6?) if you don't want to accept an unreleased version as an answer.

Managing your storage space is part of the intended challenge of the game.

When you're lying alone with your hand on the phone thinking of Hugh till it hurts...

When you know how to craft out of nothing at all...

When even the nights are better since you found Hugh...

You've been playing the game for a long time I thought? Not sure if you're asking a question or making a point, but either way it's not clear what it is.
They have. Which makes me seriously question the validity of this thread.

Unless and until you start attracting a lot of attention, your day-to-day non-horde base doesn’t need much in the way of defenses. This gives you a lot of leeway to try living in any POI you may like for other reasons.

Alas, my first suggestion was going to be to try a lower field of view. Some people think they’re seeing a blur effect when they’re actually seeing dynamic resolution in action, so try turning that off if you haven’t. Besides motion blur, There’s also depth of field which will cause a blur effect. Press F8 to see your frame rate; I’m guessing something too choppy wouldn’t help.

I keep finding comments on the internet stating that Unity itself is ♥♥♥♥ when it comes to 3d games and performance; so go figure. Though I have seen some good 3d games built with Unity, such as Dyson Sphere Program, and Subnautica. But those are the rare exception (built by competent devs). Edit: A pretty game doesn't make a good game *cough*S...

You’d have to be more specific about which graphics. The game is still being developed, and everything from Alpha 1 should be updated before the game goes gold. However, the game is fundamentally different from non-voxel games, and the fairest comparisons of graphics should be made with other voxel games.
