20+ min to create a map. Thats crazy. I thought they said in one of the A21 dev vids that they had sped up random map generation.

It's a reasonable suggestion, given that we don't currently know the OP's system specs, or how big of a map they're trying to generate. A r... Read more

Probably, but you posted in the wrong spot. Moving your thread to the correct forum section. I would recommend starting with reading the Pinned threads, and following instructions.

It was never advertised as a pure sandbox. It's a sandbox game with other elements. Just read the store listing.

7 Days to Die is an open-world game that is a unique combination of first-person shooter, survival horror, tower defense, and role-playing games.

Yknow, it's funny. "Make it so the wires don't appear" and many paraphrasings thereof is an oft requested one. A sizable number of people have been begging for it for years with no appreciable disagreement from others in those threads. They finally change it so wires are hidden.....And now people are here begging for it back/complaining that it's gone. :winter2019joyfultearsyul:

+1 for offering a toggle though. See n... Read more

Is this a tactic to keep A21 criticism invisible to potential new customers? Feels kinda scummy. Maybe it's just to keep the boards clean but this doesn't seem like the way to do it, comes across as "we don't care what any of you think, this is the direction we've decided to go in (consequences be d***ed)".
Lets review.

You posted a thread titled "A21 - Good, Bad, Ugly".
Since we already have ... Read more

Handguns vs bows is firepower vs stealth.

Bow vs crossbow is obviously a sidegrade where you choose high mobility vs maximum sneak attack damage. If you really like bows and run&gun often, a bow can actually work well while a crossbow gets your ass bitten.

If you're not the sneaky type then yes, a rifle will beat a crossbow in most cases. But then you should go Perception.

It's rather the magnum/vulture that have no real niche in the game and were added purely for coolness, bloating the attribute even more. =P

If you feel it helps, though, more power to ya. :winter2019happyyul:

Before all zombies in the building spawned from the start which dragged down the performance a ton, especially in large buildings.
Now they only spawn in if you cross certain trigger points.
It also helps with clearing zombies quests and prevents some lone zombie somewhere who wandered off to be the final target you cant find.
Combined with the new tier 6 quests and the new "clear infestation" quest that spawns a ton of zombies it was the only way to make those playable if you dont own a NASA super computer.
Yes, it sucks for stealth builds but the game has been becoming more streamlined for a while and this is cleary the path the devs have decided...

In the interim till the devs do add a helipad to the traders or whatever, if they ever add fast travel, you can use commands.

F1, enable debug mode via the "dm" command, close the F1 menu, open your map. Ctrl right click anywhere on the map and it will teleport you there- Just mind that it teleports you to the top most block where you click.

Additionally, Shift+Q will teleport you to cursor, or up to 100 blocks towards your cursor if you're aiming at empty space, you can fire this up into the sky, then in the direction you want to go and lastly back down to the ground.

Just be careful, 'cause normal unmodified Q is god mode while debug mode is on.

But actually even better would be the return of the blunderbuss - it was the one weapon where the slow reload was sort of fun.
The pipe shotgun is literally a 1:1 copy of the blunderbuss as far as stats go, Only difference is aesthetic and ammo type.

It is not sound. My own personal theory, since this is not real, is your scent from touching the parts combined with vibrations, makes them interested. I could say the same for the cement mixer. Your feet tapping the ground as you walk around could really do it too. Next up...sand worms.
