Hello Travelers, and welcome back to the Pre-Patch Hype Week Blog Posts - Weekend Edition!

For today’s post, we’re going to be taking a look at some of the new enemies and models you’ll be encountering in Beta Patch 0.9.1 Rising Flames.

Enemies

Quill Hog

The first one up is a very colorful fellow which you may have spotted during the Reaper Form post. The Quill Hog is a new enemy which will be encountered as early as the first chapter of the game. Like many things in nature, bright colors may look pretty, but more often than not indica...

Now if they wanna make the packs the best deal it would only make sense to price them at 20$ or at most at 30, otherwise you might aswell buy 350 points and just grab any mtx you like instead of the set combinations from the supporter packs.

The concept of different individual mtx of the same category being on different tiers is kinda lost in this analysis I think.

Introduction

Travelers, as you are likely already aware, yesterday’s announcement has given us another chance to earn our reputation as the community-driven ARPG, and the studio that listens. We’ve spent the last 24 hours reading your feedback, discussing it internally, and deciding what to do next. I want to thank our community for challenging us to be better. We’re here today to say we hear you, and want to answer that challenge.

We are making three immediate changes.

  • We will be removing the offset conversion rate between EP and USD, replacing it instead with a 1 USD = 10 EP (Epoch Points) ratio.
  • We are making price reductions across the board. As an example, the $20 portal from yesterday (which was actually a $14 portal) is ...

It is a great question that you will find an answer to in the future

Yes, with different weighting than normal items (aside from boots)

The most common Weaver’s Will item will be rarer than the most common normal Unique, but not the rarest item. They can also drop during the campaign.

Hello Travelers and Happy Friday!

If you happened to read yesterday’s post, you may have caught today’s topic at the end, “Weaver’s Will”. Like any good cliff-hanger, we’ll be continuing that conversation in today’s episode of Pre-patch Blog Post Hype Week!

Weaver’s Will

Weaver’s Will is a new Unique item type arriving in Beta Patch 0.9.1 Rising Flames. These items expand the roster of item rarities, entering the fray with Unique and Legendary items, by being both!

Similar to Unique Items, all Weaver’s Will items will have a fixed list of effects which will be unique to that specific named item. Where they differ from normal Uniques, is that these items do not roll Legendary Potential, but instead roll a Weaver’s Will value. These items ...

Yes. That was the exact point. You have to regionally price anyway. It's not preventing the need for it.

It only obfuscatates cost to the user. Especially since you're using 120 points for $9.50 to buy an effect that cost 165 points. It's math that's intentionally difficult to do on the fly.

Instead of just listing the cost at $13 it's 165 points that you have to spend $19 to get and have left over points in a closed system.

Sorry I misunderstood the claim that we aren't doing regional pricing of the points to mean that we weren't regionally adjusting the purchase price of points for local currencies, which we are.

Stop. There is no benefit.

Point purchases are regionally priced though.

We do apologize, the captures had an incorrect price listed for the Portal. We recognize that caused some headache. We have corrected the error from 250 EP to 165 EP for the Glacial Path portal.

We actually tried that a few different ways, but all of them looked poor with attack and casting animations, with the trails heavily interfering with the other VFX.

I think something is not being communicated properly because I also just tested it again right now and as far as I can tell it works with Swipe, Tempest Strike, Flurry (melee), Flurry (bow), Puncture (melee), Puncture (bow), Fireball, Lightning Blast, Flame Reave and Mana Strike. If you are experiencing something different, please open a bug report with details on the specific interaction.

I didn’t check a throwing ability but it really shouldn’t be any different. Also checked Javelin, Hammer Throw and Acid Flask. All good.

Hello Travelers, and welcome to the second day of the Pre-patch Blog Post Hype Week!

Originally we were going to be talking about towns today, but in a Shyamalan-like twist, we’re going to instead be covering the new Reaper Form coming in Patch 0.9.1 Rising Flames!

Reaper Form

Reaper form is getting a whole new visual overhaul to better match the theme with new robes, scythes, and VFX. We think the visuals can speak louder than words on this one.

No, it works. Assign a skill slot to your left click. If your mouse is over an enemy it will use the skill, otherwise you will walk. Hold shift to stand still and force the ability to be used.
