I cant update to Windows 10 atm because I cant risk loosing data. Will do that in a month after my exams.
I am afraid I am unable to advise if doing that will work or not. If there is no risk to your system or files in doing this it may be worth a go, however, this is entirely your decision to do so.

Your game does not have an activation key. If you are being asked for one please reinstall Uplay and try to launch the game again.
