CyberPunk isn't even 3D, much less a voxel game. It only cares about your GPU for the most part. On the other hand 7 Days is a fully 3D Voxel game with complex structural integrity and SI mechanics that require a LOT more from your system than 98% of the games you are used to.

This is the screamers working like they are supposed to. They are finally fixed after being broken for a while. Try taking a look around the forum before you start a thread, and you will find that topics on this already exist.

Betting it's this. The Q6 crossbow likely is set for Stone ammo as it was just acquired, while the Q4 one has been in use and so it has iron or even steel ammo loaded, buffing it's damage up.

Length of a horde night on default settings.... 20 minutes.

So if you are on default settings, it isn't a huge issue. However if you are extending your days for a more drawn-out gaemplay loop, you will need to adjust your methods or mod the timer.

I'm playing on default settings (with exception of XP boosted a bit) on a local/single player setup, I literally watch loot...

Possible fix for restoring a corrupted save

Beyond that, you should figure out why your game/PC is crashing. To hazard a guess, are you possibly ram crashing? If your ram reaches 100% use, your PC will crash because it literally has no space in memory to do anything; Normally your OS manages something called a page file and expands it if needed to store extra stuff to keep the ram from capping out... But some users disable the pagefile because... Read more

I mean... Going from swinging what feels like 50 times per block to 2 times or even 1 time per block is pretty huge. You can take better advantage of bonuses like the +100% mining gains candy too.

Some people do just use the stone axe forever. It's a bit of a mix in the community. Personally I always get the better tools; I'd rather waste the hotbar spots on specialization and do things in a timely manner than save 2 spaces and take 10-50x longer to do anything that requires me to break something.

There's the same issue of choice in normal tools vs gas tools; Some think the gas tools are must-haves, and some think they're worthless and overblown (I'm the latter in most cases.. There's specific usecases, but i'd never use the gas ones as a general use tool)

I think we have a new thread about this subject every couple of weeks, and that the last ones are recent enough that we don't need another. Try looking around a bit before you post.

-Why no official servers?
-Game dead?
-STILL empty servers

It literally took me less than 30 seconds to ... Read more

We already have multiple threads about water and jars. Don't need to clutter the forum with another thread. Go read and participate in the threads that already exist.

Well, im not going to hate as I got SAND BLASTED by the community for asking a way to hide/disable the "Times killed" notification due to the amount of bugs on the game and me being OCD as hell with that stuff.

Someone posted a way that I could hide that by editing a few XML files, so I feel if you can do that, there SHOULD be a way to disable/hide the text for those alerts as well.
There is. Khaine has a couple of mods posted for it on the official forums. One hides the skulls for the POI's, and another hides everything for both POI's and biomes.

I like ... Read more

Honest to god, I have seen some recent logs of servers hosted on G-Portal that were set up on a mid-grade 3rd-gen Intel CPU that was literally obsolete half a decade ago.

The only reason they are still alive IMHO is because of companies like Funcom using them for dedicated servers.

This isn't a GPU-bound game like you are used to playing. Dropping a 4090 into an AMD 2400X isn't going to do you any favors here.
Then why does it not state that in the minimum to recommended requirements? All it says is this for CPU:
3.2 Ghz Quad Core CPU or faster

Well what gen quad core? When this game...

I am curious. What exactly do you expect to happen when you jump off before the gyro has landed, and it ends up landing on top of you as a result?

Seems to me that ragdoll physics are working as intended.

It's a 15 or 25 meter radius last I checked. Which is pretty darn huge, all considered.. So your perception of "5 inches" seems...off, to me.

The video settings include a Vsync option, which will limit the frame rate to your display’s refresh rate, or half of that rate. I keep it on, and even set it to half when I’m in the prefab editor for instance, to save some energy.

Personally, it is totally because of them pushing the console release out.

They are doing exactly what I have always used as a perfect example of what NOT to do.

And to make matters worse, they pushed it out before it was really ready. The only reason I can see for this is to make bank on the summer sales event, and from kids that aren't even in the targeted age group being home for summer vacation and buying games for their consoles.
If you had asked me just prior to this announcement, I would have said to not expect any updates before Thanksgiving. And this would have been based on what I can see from internal testing. (In fact, if you check my post history, you will probably find that I did in fact say that a few times.)

I understand TFP doesn't follow "conventional" development, and that they do things a bit differently. However, they always seemed to be sticking to the traditional Alpha/Beta/Gold process. And I have always stood ... Read more
