Xbox got a hotfix patch a couple of days ago.
The frequency of updates before Stable dropped, was squashing several last-minute bugs before they dropped stable on their pre-announced date. IMHO, I didn't think it was going to be ready until closer to Thanksgiving, but here we are.

It should also be noted that a large majority of the "bugs" you see people reporting, are simply because they did not ... Read more

Did you go from A21 to 1.0 or did you play the experimental?

If your game updated straight from A21 to 1.0 then you should clean your files. Open the launcher when you first start the game. Find the tools tab and then select the clean option. Check all the boxes and click Clean.

Then verify your files. Right click on your game in your library and select properties and then the local files option. There should be button to press to verify the integrity of your files.

After that finishes, try starting the game and just load up one of the pregens or Navezgane to run around for awhile and see if you can interact with stuff.

You should be able to hit any zombie you see regardless of whether they are dormant or not. Must have been a glitch or you were using your trusty primitive bow which has the super power of sliding between and through hitboxes....

You can go into POIs any manner you wish but you will get some weird spawns and often see things spawn in right in front of you if you aren't sticking to the prepared pathway. But the POIs are voxel so feel free to chop through however you want. You should still be able to hit any NPCs though.

No it does not.

Here is a recent discussion explaining why.

I ended up having nothing but issues with my PS4 controller. Ditched it for a Guilikit KingKong 2 Pro Controller. I use it connected to Steam as a Xbox One S Controller (default detected profile), and have Steam input enabled now that I look in settings. I do not recall having that enabled previously. I don't have a dual-monitor setup, but I have triple. Game runs on the center screen.

I haven't noticed any problems aside from having to re-adjust to v1.0 mappings. Mostly I just use the controller for vehicles though and use KB/M for the rest of gameplay.

The difficulty setting is a misnomer. The only difference it makes to "difficulty" is changing the balance of damage and chance for rage mode.

0. Scavenger
Skill - Easiest
Description - Easiest setting designed for noobs.
% Damage by Zombie - 50
% Damage by Player - 200
% Chance for zeds to rage - 0

1. Adventurer
Skill - Easy
Description - Not just a new recruit any more.
% Damage by Zombie - 75
% Damage by Player - 150
% Chance for zeds to rage - 20

2. Nomad
Skill - Normal
Description - Designed for experienced FPS players.
% Damage by Zombie - 100
% Damage by Player - 100
% Chance for zeds to rage - 40

3. Warrior
Skill - Hard
Description - Now you're starting to impress.
% Damage by Zombie - 150
% Damage by Player... Read more

Your controller turning off when using keyboard and mouse is not under control of a game. That is what the Xbox OS does. Allan discovered that if you removed the controller batteries and plug it into the console, the controller will stay on.

Smell would be nice to have again, but there is a giant pile of things that would be nice to do. The pile is always bigger than the amount of time we have, so we have to prioritize what we work on.

This is a Steam store issue, and it is working as intended.

I would also recommend ♥♥♥ for keys. You can also find it on sale often with GreenManGaming, Humble, and a few other retailers.

Sorry, but the data seems to be gone, so there is no getting it back. It stinks, but games have bugs. This was a rare bug that required just the right timing between multiple threads for it to happen. Even when we knew exactly what we were looking for, we only saw it happen once between several different people testing just crates loading and unloading for hours.

If it says b334, then that is the fix.

That is why we are switching to the Omega versioning system. It involves time travel, where you go back in time to fix bugs before they can be born.

"They would reshape the Future by changing the Past. The plan required something that felt no pity. No pain. No fear. Something unstoppable. They created the Terminator."

The Buginator will be unleashed soon, but since the past will change, we will no longer remember this conversation..........

No one said it was finished yet. You are just assuming that yourself based on the V1.0 monkier.

Don´t get fooled by the 1.0, the game is far from being finished.
Yep. This is correct. Currently there is no real weather system, and as the clothing/wardrobe system has not been implemented yet, all armor has a base resistance of 20 (off the top of my head) to both heat and cold.

As pApA stated, the game is far from finished. They just chose to leave EA before they were actually done with EA. It isn't going to go Gold/finished until probably 2026 based on the current roadmap.

The game has to allocate the world storage estimate up front due to how the console file systems work. The size is based on the Chunk Persistence setting. Lower the value to use less save space. You can also archive worlds which converts it to the basic files without the padding, so it is much smaller. It is very fast as these consoles have SSD storage.

That does not sound like the same issue with empty storage chests as the only thing changes with that bug is the loss of what was inside the chests. That sounds like chunks being reset. Chunks reset based on the Chunk Persistence setting unless there is a bed roll, land claim or players being in the area more often than the timer. Did you have any bedrolls or land claims near them? Did you place bed rolls in another area (there can be only one active)? What is persistence set to? Were both of you away from the area for an extended amount of time?

If you own the game on Steam you can use the beta opt-in screen to play the older versions. It doesn't matter whether you paid a lower price or $44.99, all of the older alpha versions are included on Steam. That is not the case for any other platform. It is a Steam exclusive because they are accessed through Steam's beta feature.

TFP has said they have no plans of removing old versions so until someone says otherwise you should be able to play beloved A19 forever.
