You're right, The food makes zero sense.

So we should also take away the backpack that lets us carry an entire skyscraper and multiple entire vehicles.

We should also do away with that pesky way the player can mine a cubic meter of stone in about 1 ingame minute, That takes an actual human HOURS, Can you believe how imbalanced that is? The player character digs even faster than a literal CAT excavator!

And the way the player character can sprint practically non-stop for hours with just a few seconds of rest every few minutes is ridiculous- Real life sprinters can only sprint for about 8-15 seconds at best before they slow down considerably because their muscles literally burn through their reserves of ATP and can't produce new ATP fast enough to keep up.

Oh, oh, and the way the player can heal from broken bones in 30 minutes with a splint, or heck even 2 hours without one- That's absolutely absurd. It takes MONTHS irl to recover from a broken... Read more

Seems TFP never shut down MM because they didn't want this kind of stuff to happen. As long as everyone got along, it appears TFP was willing to let it slide. However, Zyn committed a crime (Getting smart on Twitter) while committing a felony (Profiting from someone elses work), and is eating sh*t because of it.

ETA - Not a dev, gotta get that removed lol.

I’d have to agree with saice. I know everyone wants their ideas in the base game, but taking a game’s setting/atmosphere and enriching it with more novel characters, encounters, etc. that take the game in different directions… what you’re describing is the perfect use case for modding.

Problematic. When you turn on the 3rd person body, the camera is inside the head, so you see edges of your face and eyes, which is ugly.

For example, if we say we want these 3 features in A22, then yes, we would have to take whatever time is required to complete those 3 features to a releasable quality level. In the past it was dozens of feature changes, each with varied dev times leading to devs with shorter tasks switching to more features, further extending time and making for long releases.

Today we bring you our first point release for A21 to Experimental.


To opt in please follow these steps:
  1. Right click on the game in steam
  2. Click on properties
  3. Click the “betas” tab
  4. The drop down menu will have latest_experimental available <— you want THAT
  5. Select that and wait for the game to download


We recommend you start a new game when participating in EXP.
We are not aware of anything affecting existing savegames negatively.
If you plan on using your regular savegame, we advise of at least making a backup.



Here is what changed since A21 b324 stable:

  • Tier 5 hotel_ostrich
  • Moderator OzHawkeye to credits
  • Ability to change prices for twitch actions through Twitch Info Screen.

There is still broken glass, but there is a bug where you can't kill yourself with it if you have the game set to PvE mode.

There is the console command to kill that you could use on your own player ID, but you could also just enable DM and teleport to a valid location.

That just adds complexity and we want food to be consumed with whatever you are doing in the game.

What features will be released in any specific alpha is not a given. A22 is planned to be short duration with targeted features.

The only real differences currently is in some enemy spawns, and the challenges to living in each.

The harder the biome tier, the more it will boost your difficulty. However there is also a boost to your lootstage as well.

Yeah, the game is primarily designed for PvE. Only about 2-3% of the players use PvP mode.
