Division 2 still has crash issues in game and on first starting up the game. When I double click the game it goes through the process of showing the anti-cheat screen then goes black, usually this is normal before the logo's start appearing but recently the screen remains black and I have to log out of the computer to try again, second try after logging into windows works but then you get at least 3 or more crashes during game play before it settles down; more of a common thing than just recently.
The other day I experienced 5 crashes before I could play normal but this isn't new it's something which never seems to get fixed.

Sorry about this!

We’re testing a fix for this. In the meantime try setting graphics to Very Low.

If this save crashes reliably, you are all set to report it as a bug! Please make a new thread here:
forum.paradoxplaza.com

Crusader Kings III - Bug Report

forum.paradoxplaza.com forum.paradoxplaza.com
That's where our QA people gather and qualify bugs to send on to the developers. Please make a detailed report there, and attach the save game, and detail anything QA need to do to trigger the crash.

Then just put this save aside, and try it as you see new game patches come out.

Sorry for that problem!

@erakey-twitchtv Please could you list off all the things you have already tried so anyone reading this knows what else you can try?

@Erakey-TwitchTV I'm glad to hear that you were able to get this resolved! Thanks for letting all of us know. If possible, would you share what you did to figure out that it was that particular issue in your BIOS?

about 3 years ago - Ubi-Froggard - Direct link

@erakey-twitchtv Glad you managed to find what was causing it and thanks for sharing everything you tried that lead up to this. Hopefully it comes in useful for anyone else but if anyone else reading this does still have an issue, please feel free to also post on the thread what you have tried.

Hey Tenno!

If you continue to crash, can you hold onto your ee.log? Please follow this guide on how to get your logs: https://digitalextremes.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/200182250-What-information-should-I-give-when-submitting-a-ticket-

As well, can you send me your WAR#? You should automatically receive the prompt when your game crashes. Thanks!

Thanks!

I don't know about a WAR# as my game freezes endlessly on the loading screen and requires stopping the game from the task manager. I get no prompt either. Should i post the ee.log here?

Do not send your log here as it contains information about your machine and network. Please make a forum post and explain the bug in as much detail as you can!

@fluffybear-doot Hey there, I am sorry to hear you're experiencing these crashes! Are you getting any specific error messages or codes when these crashes happen?

over 2 years ago - AndrewT - Direct link
That thread looked like a hardware problem, but the user stopped responding after a while so we'll never know for sure.

As it's happening in two games on two machines, it's hard to see what could be the root cause of the problem - potentially the issue on the two machines, OR in the two games, are actually different.

Has it always happened in both games? Or they were okay up to some point?

If the latter, did it first happen in each game and each machine at the same time?

After one of these crashes, can you start the game right up again and resume? Or you need to reboot, or wait a while, before it will run again?

DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/settings.txt and pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , exceptions.log .
over 2 years ago - AndrewT - Direct link
Strictly speaking these games are not supported on any integrated Intel video system. But that would usually just cause slowness, not crashes.

But the crash stack in exceptions.log explicitly points to the Intel driver:
Stack Trace:
1 igdumdim64.dll OpenAdapter (+ 7802)
2 igdumdim64.dll OpenAdapter (+ 164223)
3 igdumdim64.dll OpenAdapter (+ 29654)
4 igdumdim64.dll OpenAdapter (+ 603340)
5 igdumdim64.dll OpenAdapter (+ 602236)

And dxdiag is reporting a serious problem with the Intel Xe hardware or driver:
Windows Error Reporting:
+++ WER0 +++:
Контейнер ошибки LKD_0x141_Tdr:6_IMAGE_igdkmdn64.sys_GEN12LP_HWS_DX9_BBHANG, тип 0
Имя события: LiveKernelEvent

AND its driver is from 2020! So please check with Lenovo support for a newer one. Failing that, Intel themselves:
downloadcenter.intel.com

Download Intel Drivers and Software

Download new and previously released drivers including support software, bios, utilities, firmware and patches for Intel products. downloadcenter.intel.com downloadcenter.intel.com
Good luck!

Are you still getting those crashes in igdumdim64.dll and igdkmdn64.sys , as above? If so, I fear for your hardware I'm afraid!
over 2 years ago - CO_Avanya - Direct link
If you haven't already I recommend setting up a custom-sized pagefile of at least 32000 MB. Here are a few guides for how that's done:

https://www.windowscentral.com/how-change-virtual-memory-size-windows-10
https://youtu.be/bRe_MtNvVSM

If the game still crashes after doing that and restarting your computer for the changes to take effect, then please let me know.
over 2 years ago - CO_Avanya - Direct link
We'll need to have a look at your log then, which unfortunately means I'll need you to make a post on our support forum as Steam doesn't let you attach files here. You can attach it directly when making a post on the support forum here:
https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/forums/support-bug-reports.879/

We need the output_log.txt which can be found in the Cities_Data folder where the game is installed, usually something like this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cities_Skylines\Cities_Data

You can also find the folder by right-clicking on the game in your Library, select Manage and then Browse Local Files. Then just go into the Cities_Data folder and find the output_log.txt

Hey there @Xx-PsYcHoL-xX ,

Thank you for reaching out.

Is your game still crashing?

We wouldn't be able to advise if and which mod is causing this issue, but we would recommend disabling your mods to see if this prevent further crashes, if so, you'll be able to go through them individually to see which is triggering these crashes.

If you then find that you continue to experience crashes after disabling all your mods, please could you also complete the steps in our troubleshooting guide as well as verifying the game's files?

Please le us know how you get on and if you need any further help at all!

Thank you!

Hello @Amir802212 sorry to hear about your crash and blue screen on PS4.

Would you please try reinstalling the game completely, restore your licences for the game and rebuild your database, as shown in this guide, as you may have a corrupt game file causing this, and these steps may resolve this issue > https://www.ubisoft.com/help?article=000060522

PlayStation also have their own troubleshooting guide for crashes physical & digital here > https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/support/games/game-freeze-crash/

@solgaleo66 Hi there! Welcome to Discussions!

So sorry to hear that your game is crashing during the warm-up before CotD! Do you see any error codes or is it just crashing to desktop? Please go through the steps in our PC troubleshooting guide here. These steps help resolve many of the common causes for crashing issues with our game. If the crashing continues, then you may need to reinstall the game. Just to be on the safe side, I'd suggest backing up any save files as well. When you reinstall the game, try to reinstall the game and Ubisoft Connect on the same drive, preferably your OS/C drive.

Let me know if these steps help or if your game continues to crash. Thank you!

Hey there @Gregory_Sallust, and welcome to the Discussions. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing crashes when trying to exit out of the Dark Zone. How often does this occur? Also what platform are you playing on the game on?

Hey guys,

Glad to see the issue's been resolved for you @Gregory_Sallust !

@svaage70 - are you experiencing game crashes or just issues with your connection / Delta errors?

Could you please ensure you've completed connectivity troubleshooting steps too?

Thank you!

Hey @svaage70

Could you please let us know if it is the issue is related to Dark Zone South Recon Mission?

It seems that you have also mentioned a Delta error. Could you please tell us the exact error code?

Thank you very much.

over 1 year ago - Ubi-Chiral - Direct link

Hey @Gregory_Sallust!

I'm sorry to hear you're encountering this crash issue in game, I understand how frustrating that is!

To clarify, are you encountering fewer crashes the longer you play?

I'd like to start with a few different troubleshooting steps to see if we can resolve or at least mitigate some of these crashing issues.
1) Verify the game files
2) Clear the Ubisoft Connect Cache
3) SFC Scan
Please let me know if these steps help or not!

Hey there @Gregory_Sallust,

Apologies for the delay and to see you're still having issues!

May we please know the specs of the PC you're using (GPU, CPU, RAM, OS, Laptop / Desktop)?

I'll also note that our wider investigation into these crashing issues is still ongoing too.

over 1 year ago - Ubi-Nova - Direct link

@Gregory_Sallust Thanks for providing your hardware specs.

Can you confirm when this issue first occurred?
Did you notice anything unusual, leading up to the events of the issue occurring?
Have you installed any programs, or made any changes to your PC recently since the issue occurred?
Do you have any hardware monitoring software, RGB controller software that may conflict with The Division 2?
