I've seen some other reports recently saying this can happen if someone in your lobby is changing the default Legend. Does it seem like that could be what's happening in your experience?

Have you checked to make sure the audio channels are set up correctly for your PS4? It sounds like it might be trying to output the audio in surround sound, and those channels might not actually be coming through.
